Plushies are hard to find for me. I either find them when I don't have the money, or I have the money and I don't find them.

I have a Knuckles plush with the rest of the pictures though, that's in the gallery folder. As for the comics, did you see the mondo update picture yet?

As for why I have more than one:

Sonic 3. One belonged to my brother, and one belonged to my cousin. They were going to just toss them away since they couldn't get their Genesis/CD/32X combos to work, so I took both systems and swapped parts. Luck have it that they both had parts the other needed.

Knuckles Chaotix. See how one copy has an "H" on it? That one was my cousin's. The other was my brother's. I won't throw out either since they weren't mine from the start, and it's hard to replace them.

Sonic Heroes. Like the thing said: The PC was a Hacked Copy. The GameStop won't take PC games back. It's against policy. I got the rid the PS2 version because my cousin lost his system. So I got a GC version instead. First Sonic game I had played in a long time, since I never had a DreamCast, and all I had when I was little was Sonic Chaos for the GameGear, because it was all my real mom could afford for me. She knew I liked Sonic, so she got me a portable game. Sonic Heroes was my first Tax Deduction gift from Mom (Grandma). She bought me that because I had hardly any other games other than Racing, FPS, GTA, RPG and other boy games to play, since my brother and cousin dominated the games at home. This was to be my special game to play... and I still love it. Enough to pay $25 for the sound track.

Next Gen. Perhaps one of my most favorite games out there. Under the glitches, there was a wonderful use of paradoxes, butterfly effects and quite a bad guy (Mephiles). Sure, it was slow on the running, but it was meant to be a great game, and I like how the ending left it as a glimpse of an alternate time line. I have two copies because the original release was maimed when the 360 was kicked over by the cat, and more than half the cutscenes were rendered useless. I think that's what I said in the artist comments, in fact. The first copy was a Tax Deduction gift, and Mom payed $50 for it because it had just come out. The second copy is the replacement, and was $17 for a new copy, still in plastic. Being as I'm a Mephiles fan, and that's his only game... it's a must to have! Especially since my fics need him to be in character! I won't throw out the maimed one because it's still payable, and it costed $50 to get.

It's not wasted space. Games take up no more than less than an inch thick, and is roughly as tall as a manga. One more is not going to make in impossible to get into my room.

Sonic X, or rather 4Kids version was aimed at for little kids and was savagely cut and edited. The real version is deeper, darker, had actual death and cursing, and had more suggestive themes than you think. Knuckles walked into a strip club by accident once, and Rouge actually cried once! (that was cut because they said that would make her look weak. Hello! Cosmo was going to die! Crying for a friend is not weak!)

You should watch the real version. It's about a 1000 times better, and their music, or rather at some times, lack of music, is much more moving for a scene. You won't believe the stuff that was removed, and some of, if not most of the dialogue, was altered and made into puns when it was dubbed. And the death of Cosmo was actually much longer, and more emotional. Tail was really upset, saying: "So it was all a lie? You said after this was over, you'd stay with us! Why did you lie to us!?" and was hitting his head on the keyboard... hard. It was cut because 4Kids thought kids in America won't understand the loss of a close friend... 4Kids is stupid....

Anyway... this is also an old picture. Dated in June. Check the other pictures... [link]

I usually can only get more stuff around Christmas, my birthday, Comic Con, and sometimes people just throw them away.

I should note that I've only been an avid collector for about a few years tops... though some of this stuff I've had since I was 3. My favorite one, I can't find it right now, and it's such a rare and unphotographed item, is my Sonic and Knuckles Promo Wallet Purse. It was part of the Game Promotion back in '93! And I have it ^^

It's in a box in the garage... I'm still trying to find my stuff after we had moved... Our garage is hardly cleaned, and Mom discourages me from digging through all the boxes...

I don't like NextGen specifically because they were SUPPOSED to have every playable character (including Tails) have their own story but lumped it all together for some stupid sales pitch so SATSR wouldn't look so bad, which it sucked anyway. And as for the effects, Sonic's not meant to look good and when it does it just looks retarded. It's supposed to be cartoony, having pumped-up effects takes away alot.

I'm sure that version of Sonic X was just thrilling but as everyone's aware by now I'm a huge Tails fan and his role in Sonic X was stupid, not to mention he only flew once and that's, like, his thing! And he only did it when it was least necessary. And where the hell did Cosmo come from?! Man I'm glad she's dead, Fox + Plant = WTF! What could you possibly get out of that?

Yeah, I can see that Gamestop wouldn't buy it. It's illegal to hack games and buying it would result in lawsuit and possible jailtime for the supervisors. Not to mention several employees getting booted for accepting it.

If you want old Sonic games, Search Sonic Retro and look up game information. You might find links for downloading ROMs and Emulators, I'd give you a link but for some reason my browser won't load the site.
If you want plushies try Amazon.com or eBay.

RaeLogan In reply to Photon-Kitsune [2009-03-25 22:19:22 +0000 UTC]

The game was rushed because fans complained that they wanted it now. It's our own fault as much as theirs.

Never played SATSR, but I wanna try the game for myself before I decide if it's bad...

When did he stop being cartoony? I haven't seen much of a change... he's still got a big head and his hands go down to his ankles as far as I can see...

He flew more than once! In one story arc alone, I counted at least 5... and I have it on my iPod! Then again, I have the original episodes downloaded... so I dunno how much 4Kids killed. I only get 4Kids if it's the only thing available after I just bugged Mom for hours on taking me to the store... only to find out what I wanted just sold out a few minutes prior to my arival.

Well, I didn't know it was hacked until after I had it installed and tried to play it. It was hacked so badly, it crashed my computer!

Well, I have all the old games for my Genesis/32X/CD combo, aside from Sonic CD, which I'm still tracking. So I don't need a ROM because I still have a wonderful working system and copies.

As for plushies.... consider this: I'm not allowed to use eBay, because my mom uses it... and if I used it... my cousin would try to use me to his advatange... and he get's in trouble for using me for his own gain again because I'm old enough to legally use things like that (I'm 18, almost 19... and I live with my mom because I have a mental disability that makes it near impossible to function in the real world because I have the mentality of a kid (Still love my toys and games... and I still don't understand why some people are so mean...), so I'm allowed to stay with her. She takes care of most of my stuff.).

I also don't want to buy large (I'm talking near life sized!) plushies because they take up much needed space, and really have no function. It's tough to hug them because they tend to be filled with pellets... and not soft fuzz.

Then I also like to be sure I can personally inspect the plush and make sure it's authentic (I almost got sold a bootleg one once!), and decide if the price is worth it based on construction, sculpting of face, how close it looks to the real character (I don't want those bug eyed ones), and durability of fabric (We got cats that claim our toys... so it needs to be able to withstand a few rabbit kicks and not fall apart easily.).

I have a Knuckles plush last year at Comic Con for $15. I almost payed $20 for a Shadow hat... but the Knuckles plush caught my eye before I handed over the money, so I asked to look at it instead. It's perhaps the best one I've seen yet!

I plan to track down a Tails plush, since he's been in my list for years. I want it to be of the best quality I can find. After all, he was my first video game character I controlled. ^^

I almost got a Tails plush a few years ago at a comic shop... but he wasn't well put together, and I found a tough to find Keychain of him and a wallscroll with him instead.

Mom lets me buy this stuff since it's my thing I collect. That, and it's not really too expensive to get something new. Comics are about $2.50 (At Comic Con, if Shadow is on the cover, the price doubles!). The keychains are the same. The toys are $10 to $25. The games vary depending on shelf age. The same for the OSTs.

Some things I get for free because friends get rid of their stuff. ^^

I also research what I want, and inform mom of what's the best way to get it, and where. I also know how to spot the phonies (Anyone can really... Its obvious: [link] )

But I'd like to pay for my plushies up front and see it for myself so I know I'm not cheated. ^^

Ooh... cool!

My Sonic stuff is kept in my closet, on a shelf to themselves... except the print is by my computer, and the wallscroll is above my TV and VCR I have the GameCube hooked up to... next to the closet...

That area is is set up like a personal gaming corner, with easy access to the games, TV, and enough space for a friend to join in...

I keep the closet open most of the time because it really opens up the room a little more... it's a semi walk in... in fact, this room was going to be my brother's, but he moved out before it was finished, so he gave it to me because he knew I've wanted a larger room for years (I always managed to be cursed with the small one. My other cousin tricked me into giving him the one I wanted last time we had to choose...). My cousin was little ticked, since he usually got my brother's hand-me-downs, but it was given to me... on my brother's request . That make this room even cooler to me

RaeLogan In reply to KanDYtheHedgeHog [2008-06-30 05:12:17 +0000 UTC]

I should get me some plushies soon...

I think my mom said she found something Sonic for me... and I think she said it was an old one... I thinks she said she was sending it in the mail, or something... might be a plush...

I almost bought a few one time, but the Wallscroll was too tempting... plus I was also buying the Tails Keychain, the Sonic Heroes OST, STH Issues 183 and 184 at the same time... so I figured this was too good to pass up... they took it right off the display window for me.

I almost didn't see it until the sun shone through it and I saw it from behind. Mom (my grandma... she adopted me...) thought it was pretty cool too, and she's usually fed up with Sonic. I think it's because I said "Look Mom! Now I have a Wallscroll of my favorite series just like you do with Wolf's Rain!"

Link anything possitivly to Wolf's Rain with her... and she just can't be mad

I also managed to explain to her how 4Kids is bad for anime, and how they ruined some parts of Sonic by giving her a simulation of how it would be if 4Kids got a hold of Wolf's Rain, and showed her the originals of some scenes in Sonic X, and showed her the dubbed versions... she also agrees that 4Kids is bad for popularity...

I also actually have all the GBA handhelds downloaded for a Gamboy Emulator on my computer...

I used to really own SA3, but some jerktard stole it and my game boy. No one understands that the game boy was the last thing I got from my mom's friend after he died of a heart attack during christmas, and the the SA3 game was what I had gotten for my birthday that week...

Like I've stated in one of my fanfics in the voice of Rae: "Most of the ones I knew were then. Kids threw stuff at me, teased me, stole my things, ruined some of my stuff… y’know… the usual peer abuse. Only me, too…”

Not a day goes by that I wish I had left the thing at home that day... All whoever stole saw was that it was my GBA SP... and no one would catch them because it was the last day of school... never mind that I waited 11 years to get any kind of GBA...

RaeLogan In reply to Shrazer320 [2008-06-30 00:18:42 +0000 UTC]

I dunno... I think at least 50 dollars... maybe a little more...

I made sure to tell him that it's missing the battery plate covers, but he says he has the AV cable if it doesn't want to do that. I also told him that it sucks the life out of 6 Energizers and/or Duracells in at least a half an hour. But again... AV cable...

The backlight's okay... and it's adjustable... (I forgot that for a few years, and thought the lights died when I tried to play and gave up, thinking it was gone. I kept it and finally disasembled it to fix the light, putting it back togther without touching anything when I saw how complicated it looked... only to bump the dial and accidentally crank up the lighting... dumbest moment for me... ever... cuz I hadn't used it for at least 5 years...)

Headphone jack works great and volume dial works.

I have 3 games for it: Sonic Chaos, Terminator 2 and Mortal Kombat.

I managed to get the rainbow crayon chunks out of the speakers without damaging it (I was a warped child when I was little... I blame my doc for messing up on my meds and accidentally overdosing me...)... so it's back to presentable looks...

My mom had bought it used from a GameStop when I had wanted a GameBoy Color when they came out, but we couldn't afford one... So she found the next best thing... and y'know... the graphics and colors were hella better! I loved that thing, considering I didn't really have much else after we move out of my grandma Norma's house before she died of cancer... a lot of my stuff was either lost, stolen, sold, donated, or just too big to keep with us in that trailer we moved into with my mom's now ex-boyfriend... who is also my "baby" brother's father... (the jerk... that undeserving jerk!)

And it had a buyable extention that lets you tune into TV... can the GameBoys do that? Even now? No!

Still... it's old and a bit worn, but still realiable... so I don't really expect him to pay more that what he's willing to...

I try to add anything new to it as I find either my own item, or a pic from Ebay, or something.

Oh, if you see the nice Sonic Riders GameCube skin, that belongs to my best friend , but she was using her FF penname when she wanted to be listed.

I'm listed with my old version of my username: Rae_Logan.

Had that username since I was 14, so it's been my name choice for 4 years at least. It makes it easier for everyone to find me on other sites too

If you see any variation of RaeLogan on any site... it's most likely me. I've used so far:

Rae_Logan
RaeLogan
Rae Logan
Rae_Logan_The_ Slokage (That's for a Naruto card game site )

That's all so far...

Another name I still use:

I've got an actual Genesis. Been playing it since I could hold a control.

And what was my first serious gaming experiance?

That's right.

The original Sonic the Hedgehog game.

Wether new or old, ya gotta love Sonic.

Yep... Sonic is as far back in my memories as walking and talking... which actually happened earlier because I was very smart for my age... figured out times tables before I was 3, self taught myself how to read (Also at age 3), first played Sonic when I was barely 3... I had known about the shows and vaguely heard of the comics...

I was a child prodigy... yet, I nearly flunked history

You're hilarious, y'know that?

Sonic and I go way back. I also started playing his games when I was three. So do Calvin, Hobbes and I. And so do a lot of other stuff. The thing I like about Sonic is, technaclly, you're never (puts hands up to air quote) 'too old to like him'.

Unfortunatly, some of the people in my life can't see that. :shakesfist:

Hey, can you do something for me please? Pretty please? (makes puppy eyes) Don't worry, it's not an art request.
