The Model was done in 3D Studio Max 4 and got around 150.000 Polys.
The Image was rendered using Brazil Rendering System.
For the Outlines i used the Illustrate! Plugin for Max.
The Final Image was put together in Corel Photo Paint 10.

by the way, you seem to like GITS:SAC. You'd probably like one or two of my paintings in that case, I made a sort of similar (but hand painted) painting of the MSDF 303 armored suit used towards the end of season 1. Also a motoko painting a while ago.

This is a good one, in fact I was planning to do that mech myself in 3D. I just have alot of other things to do right now. Brazil is bliss!
Oh well, the pic: It's a good render, nice cartoony texture. But because I have seen the episod with the spider-tank (ep 2) at least 6 times now, I notice alot of proportion problems. The body is longer and the sensors on the front a alot smaller. The tail is way too big and the back leg is clipping in to the body. The outline is nice but a little too thick.
I'm glad that it's not a Brazil "classic". Most people use it to just render everything in the standard blue color and settings which is getting very old.

but as i did this one i had no idea of modelling and texturing so it's not as good as your one
but hey . . . have an idea i could rework the mat's and if you've not allready this model we could make some tank battle renderings!?

Looks very nice, but I find the outlining a little bit disturbing. Keeps the eye away from the great model.
