Description This is probably my favorite season 6 episode tied with Sand Castles in the Sand.  

These writers have the ability to do something good, but you wish they put this much effort into seasons 7 and 8.

Spongicus is still one of Casey and Zeus's best episodes.

Spongicus is my second favorite episode from Season 6, right behind its sister episode Suction Cup Symphony. This episode shows that Casey Alexander and Zeus Cervas do have talent as writers, and used it more than you'd think. And ironically enough, Spongicus and Suction Cup Symphony were both written by Richard Pursel, which shows that even he can write a good episode once in a while.

This episode does have a lot of good thing going for it.

However,there is one big strike against it,the citizens being portrayed as sadistic psychoses who enjoy watching someone be mauled in bloodshed,even SpongeBob himself until it is reveled that Patrick in the unfortunate victim is Patrick.Wow SpongeBob way to show how much of an hypocrite you are.

SpongeBob didn't know that Patrick was the victim at first, and he immediately changed his mood when he found out Patrick was the victim.  I honestly see it as nothing more than a nitpick.

Though to get more on the nitpicky side myself, it's odd that Squidward and (more notably) Mama Krabs would rather see Patrick get mauled.

My only nitpick with this episode is that Spongebob wants to see someone get torchered (Did I spell that right?) before he sees that Patrick's the one who will get torchered. Other than that, this episode was OK.

Casey and Zeus managed to write episodes like  Sand castles in the sand, and Karen 2.0, which are among the best that post movie has to offer. Which makes Face Freeze and One Coare meal even worse.
