The fact that this episode aired six days before my birth cheeses me off even more.I've had people in my own family who were in similar situations, and if they saw this, they'd probably be very offended.

You got to remember who these characters are. The characters in king of the hill grew up in a time and place where they most likely thought suicidal people could be told to stop being suicidal. if they had treated Bill the way suicidal people should be treated it would have been really out of character for them. Plus it was 1998, we know a lot more now than we did then

What really pissed me the most was this exchange between Peggy and Hank:
Peggy: "We need to take him to a psychologist."
Hank: "He's just suicidal, Peggy. He's not crazy."
