Vine Charcoal is a soft charcoal that spreads easily across the paper. You can easily change, move, spread, or erase vine, making it a versatile tool for many charcoal drawings.

In this particular drawing, you can see the background (to the left of the fish) as pure Vine Charcoal with dots spreading across it to add texture. I added those by dabbing my fingers.

Thanks for liking the fish! It was fun to draw.
