Description I was looking for a perfect horse portrait for a very long time, but i was didn't find nothing for me. Finnaly, i make this draw. It is based on work of Sarah Leigh, i have found her paints somewhere on internet. I draw it by Myself, only with HB pencil. Takes few hours.

I draw it by looking on a picture, but that was not so easy after all. I am glad that You like it!

Hmm, You should practice it first, maybe with some templates, or re-drawing images, that helps a lot! I make many terrible drawings before this one.

How can you draw so dark with a HB pencil? e_e

How so dark? I just push the pencil so hard as I can... Really! I using mechanical pencil with Herlitz HB leads, and when i scanning my drawing, i balancing contrast levels with my scanner software, but these changes are minimal. I am hapy that You like it!

When I push a HB pencil hard it still doesn't go very dark, maybe I'm just too weak xD

You have right! Maybe that is only with my mechanical pencil and it's leads, i have a wooden HB pencil, and really, it does not give that effects of "darkness". I wondering that one HB pencil is not similliar to another one.

Wow, lovely. You can see the muscles beneath the horse's skin and the emotion in it's face. Very impressive. It all looks perfectly proportioned
