Some people who have been following me for a while here on deviantart may or may not remember when I started posting art about the electricman being Ragu used as a test subject for an electric shock experiment resulting him gaining the power of throwing lightnings and lightning balls out of his hands. I used to call the project "The Dangers" back then but later renamed it to "Experiment E-99".

Now, after 10 years of going back and froth with this project, changing things around it and keep coming back to it I have realized that it does not work with Ragu being the main character. Ragu comes from an originstory (undecided title: "Legends of Anims") safe for children to hear about but the Experiment E-99 is a traumatizing and partially horroristic project. It never really felt right to have the same character in two completely different themed stories, it could end up to cause harm and trauma. So I'm somewhat decided to take the metal crown off Ragu's head (as he calls it himself) and to give it to Viktor, a character of mine that I love but dumped due to not managing to give him a proper story. This would leave much more artistic freedom as well as clearing out all the confusions that this project has been causing for many people.
While I'm very comfortable with this change, more than I expected, I couldn't let got of the vibe and impression Ragu used to give so I slightly redesigned Viktor and made him into a dhole anim (protector of canines) and so a future discendent of Ragu (grandgrandgrandson or something like) that explains their similar personality and look.

I'm currently working hard on estabilishing myself a safe future where I can start my animation studio I've been dreaming of opening my whole life and bring these projects to life so I take the details very seriously and I don't want to treat these projects nor my characters only as some personal expression subjects anymore. I need to think realisticaly and think about what could in practice work and what couldn't. One of the biggest rules when it comes to screenwriting and producing for public in general (from at least what I've learnt) is understand when one must let go of a preference and ego if something simply does not work.

I'll probably keep coming back to this with Ragu a couple of times (expecialy cause I have half finished smaller projects that are still including him) but I'll try out how things work by replacing him with Viktor.
