The other night I decided I wanted to paint this sketch of a great blue heron that I doobled earlier, so I did. Just a quick, half-serious thing. I just wanted to move paint around with my brush for a while. ^^ It feels good.Acrylic on paper. Art (c) the Rah-Bop

In Chattanooga, at the Chickamauga Dam, there are a ton of these birds. At one point I saw fourteen herons, most of them on the train tracks bridge!

Gorgeous like always, a Great blue heron wandered in my backyard once but are pond is smaller than the size of our bath tub so it left quickly.
There are a bunch where I live, I've seen on slurp up a Water Moccasian like a sphagheti noodle 
So yeah me rambling...
Anyways it owns!(and looks almost like a photo)

Hahaha, everything you say about herons is right on the mark. We have roughly five bajillionty over here. I've caught one at our own pond (1,800 gal) but I chased it off before it got a chance to eat anybody. It was so excited, though, staring into the pond like "83"
They're graceful but they have the most vacuous facial expression of any animal, ever. seriously. They also make dinosaur noises when startled.

Wowzers, Rah! It's gorgeous, the textures are kickass, plus blue herons just rock. And in acrylics? o_O I'm jealous. I've never been able to do anything that good whenever I picked up any acrylics. Anywho, great job, Rah.
