One more concept shot I did in January for a spec script that a small studio is hoping to get optioned into a film. This one was a bit of a challenge because I had to fit a lot of ideas into a single image, but hopefully it's successful. I can't say much other than 'invasion'. This one like the others employs matte painting techniques. More shots below from the project.The photographic plate is a creative commons use, thanks to Mark Hogan on Flickr.

The ships remind me a lot of the ships from the SyFy show, Stargate SG-1. The Ori ships.

Takes awhile to think about really. I love the ship design. It seems like there is some sort of protruding atmosphere phenomenon which is quite fun to observe. Well done.

That's some nice work there, mister. Love especially the colours and just the general view. The way in which the sky opens up is prety neat
My only little nitpick are the space ships, they stick out a bit... I think the level of detail is different on them and that's why. But that aside, cool stuff

I used to tend a bird store and ended up with 11 in my house at one time. Now I have only what I can divide my attention between. I would love a parakeet and a cockatiel, though, we'll see. I prob have my hands full now, lol

They are opening a wormhole straight in the Earth's atmosphere...
Not to sound like a science/literature professor, but science fiction suggests some minute plausibility.
21st century technology, 30th century technology. Open a scalar tube in atmosphere and all you get is a bomb-fire, so so nice to have if your manifesting a new world.
I like the ships, quite original and articulate. I have to ask, is that plasma being projected inside them?
