Love this one! "Sloppy" work on the background but that's what makes it unique! The mask really stands out!

I know, I was really disappointed, cos I usually watch it every year. :C I haven't seen the Graphic Novel! I'll have to look it up.

The graphic novel is very different but helps one to understand V better.

It is a wonderful drawing. Love you style! Did you use textured brushes? I still don't understand how they work O.o

Why thank you very much! I'll definitely have to have a look at the graphic novel at some point.

Yeah, I used a few different brushes on this, all of which mimic traditional paints. Some of them are static brushes, so they stay the same shape when you move the brush around (more like stamps) and I use those for the background. I usually use some form of textured brush as an eraser on a low opacity on my backgrounds once i've put all the colours in, to give the textures a bit more variation.
