His expression and tone of voice hardly ever change, and he's not afraid to cut in with a snarky or sarcastic (and usually insulting) remark. He treats nearly everyone with the same arrogant indifference, no matter how long he's known them, or how much he actually likes them. In public that is.

He's a bully. He knows how the human mind and its emotions work, and uses this to his full advantage to emotionally attack people in their weak spots and make them let down their guard. He thinks manipulation is fun and easier for finding out information about someone (How they act and react in different situations, their anger level, etc) than actually getting to know them. He knows he's very tall and appears intimidating, and he uses this to his advantage to "break" people.

But he also cares about people... in a twisted and backwards way.He's not above bullying or threatening to get what he wants or needs, but if you boil it all down and examine what he's actually saying or doing, he's doing it to help the other person. True, not many people would consider being dragged up the stairs by the back of their shirt to be ~helpful~, but Stretto doesn't like wasting his time sugar coating things and if it needs to be done, he'll get it done... Just not in the way you want it done. He's patient, but it doesn't mean he's going to BE patient.

Level-headed and reliable (with nearly limitless patience and.. calm-ness?), Stretto is the person you can turn to during those times when everyone is freaking out. Even though he's patient, he doesn't always choose to be patient. If he feels something isn't worth the effort, he won't bother doing it, and he's not adverse to letting people fall flat on their faces due to their own stubbornness.

Stretto is a hypocrite. He'll lecture and give out advice (that's usually pretty good) to anyone that's doing something dumb, and then he'll turn right around and ignore it himself. When called out on that, he'll usually reply with something like "Didn't you know? I'm a hypocrite. I don't listen to my own advice." Insufferable and frustrating, it's easy to get angry with him just because he. Doesn't. Get. Upset. Or at least doesn't show it. His cool indifference is really frustrating, and he'll insult people to their faces without batting an eye. It just raises anger levels when he doesn't flare up and snap back, just remains calm and gives them that icy smile. His logic is decent, so even if you hate him, you still have to grudgingly agree that he's most likely right.

Stubborn to a fault, when Stretto makes up his mind about something (or someone tells him not to do something), he's going to do it and there's nothing you can do to change his mind. Even if it results in him getting sick, injured, or... anything else, he's too stubborn to ever admit that he's "wrong" and he'll plow ahead, fully aware of the consequences but not willing to let his pride suffer.

While he can read, manipulate, and identify the emotions of others, he doesn't know the first thing about processing his own. He tries to be an empty slate (because it was forced into him his entire life), just something that processes and organizes information, but feels no emotional attachment to any of it. That's changed a little since he came to AoH, and it scares him because for the first time... He's actually afraid of his lack of emotion, yet doesn't know how to control what he feels, or even what to do with them.

But there's a lot more to him than that. His personality is a dozen layers that are all carefully hidden under each other. Even if you peel back the top layer, you might not find anything underneath, or it might be the exact opposite of what you expect.

Skills and abilities:

Eden: Stretto specializes in elemental Eden, earth and fire being the ones he has the most affinity for. He's tried to learn supportive or other types of spells (suppressive, gravitational, etcetc), but always did poorly or had difficulties with them, so he's just stuck to offensive and defensive elemental skills instead.

Stretto doesn't actually have a lot of eden, and tends to "burn himself out" if he's not careful, so he tries to use his physical abilities whenever possible, before resorting to using magic.

Other:
He plays the Piano and Violin
Good at cooking and baking to an extent (he doesn't like most baked things, but his little sister did so he'd make cakes and stuff for her.)
Uses a style of swordsmanship similar to fencing, and his weapon of choice is a rapier.

Biography: Stretto is from a very well-off upper class family (this shows in his arrogant attitude towards everyone else.). His life is more or less uneventful and the only things worth mentioning are that his emotions have been restricted (by his father) since he was four, and at the age of eight, while playing in the forest he tripped over a barbed wire fence, entangling his legs and ending up stuck there for several hours. By the time he was found he had already contracted tetanus, and boy that wasn't much fun.

Misc:
Has two beauty marks on his face. One above the left side of his mouth, and one under his right eye.
Has tattoos of a treble and a bass cleff on his left and right shoulders respectively.
His legs above his knees are heavily scarred from a fight he had with a barbed wire fence when he was young. Lead to contracting tetanus.
He is left-handed.
He is allergic to cats (and most other animals with fur that sheds), and to an extent, Pineapple (which is sad because he really likes pineapple)
He rarely every smiles except when he's angry or to intimidate people. And it's HORRIFYING, the kind of smile that could freeze molten rock or make you swear the temperature in the room dropped a few degrees. Uses his full height to be all loomy and intimidating, too.
He's overprotective of the Roseus common room's piano and won't let people touch/play it without his permission. However, he's willing to teach people how to play as long as they let him supervise them.
His smile is terrifying and you should run if he smiles at you because it means bad things are going to happen or you pissed him off. It doesn't necessarily mean he's angry, just that he's being menacing.
