Description
This here is Claire Allen, my character submission for the OIBF art contest. She is an aspiring pokemon AND human doctor in the making. Seeing as how the pokemon world seems to have a woeful lack in practicing physicians, but still has a strong need for pokemon specialists, she decided to fill both roles. She has a fair knowledge of medicine and left on her pokemon journey for the purpose of expanding her medical know-how and world experiences. While Claire has a personality well suited for the medical professions (kind, empathetic, dedicated, intelligent) she also has an incredible competitive streak that won't let her back down from a fight. The upside is that even if she gets in over her head, she can keep her pokemon and herself patched up. Her first pokemon was Poporing (or Popo) the rankurusu, he often helps Claire when healing pokemon by using the move Pain Split to siphon off the more serious injuries.

The first pokemon Claire ever recieved, he most understands her goal and often assists in procedures. While his moves make for powerful attacks, he can also use his telekinesis and the move pain split to help heal other pokemon.

Raitei
Jolteon
Nature: Jolly
Raised as one of the few Jolteons in Snowpoint City, Raitei does tend to have a rebellious streak, however, he is also a grounding force for the team and works well as a mediator between the others' clashing personalities.

Hikouki
Crobat
Nature: Timid
Having lived in a cave for most of her life, Hikouki had very limited life experiences before Claire captured her. She is not good around strangers or crowds and specializes in less hands-on methods of battle. She prefers to keep her distance and wear her opponent down.

Cinderson
Typhlosion
Nature: Quiet
Though Cinderson like to spend time alone with nature, don't be fooled, he can go off like a volcano when provoked. He often starts of battles on the defensive, but quickly loses patience when attacked. He often gets in fights with Ryokai due to their clashing personalities and both rely on Raitei to mediate.

Nature:Naughty
Loud, abrasive and intrusive are all words that capture Ryokai's essence. Born and raised as an invincible powerhouse both before and after his capture by Claire, he is often arrogant and has very little understanding of respect for others or, indeed, teamwork of any kind. The only one he truly listens to is Claire whom he holds some grudging respect for capturing him and for creating winning strategies in battle.

Mugen
Futachimaru
Nature: Serious
Mugen is an old soul with older ethics. Raised to be given to a trainer, but having the misfortune of being rejected by so many and for so long that he evolved, Mugen took up the task of training and protecting the other pokemon of the breeding farm. Taken by Claire's similar desire to help others, he decided to travel with her. Despite having held a great responsibility and having many experiences, Mugen's rejection upon evolving has prevented him from reaching his final form. This has not stopped him, however, from being a force to be reckoned with.

Well, after a break from utterly failing at these art contest-y thingies and an incredibly long and stressful semester, I am back to compete in the Ohana Isles Battle Frontier. I only heard about the whole thing about a week ago and I was like "Hey, I've got some time and am definitely not addicted to these things, I can stop whenever I want, I just don't feel like it!" And so this piece came into being. I am actually super special happy with how this one came out and I lurve my garchompy, he's....the most beautiful thing I've ever drawn....

Anyways, as usual, I greatly appreciate any help or feedback you can give me on my work, every bit helps!
