Enson’s quirk can allow him to expel a black smoke from metal, tube-like structures that protrude from his hands and back. The smoke becomes a thick substance when in contact with moisture and is especially dangerous to inhale—causing an experience similar to suffocation. Enson cannot control the specific direction of the smoke itself. Meaning he cannot aim at a single target such as a person or object, but instead at a group or general direction of people or objects.
He is not invulnerable to his own quirk, so Enson takes precautionary measures to ensure he doesn’t inhale his own smoke. While Enson cannot control where the smoke goes, he can control the density of the smoke. In order to do this, he has to use the oxygen in his body to make the smoke lighter. This ability can make the smoke able to pass through small crevices and holes; however, exceeding his limit can cause dizziness, nausea, headaches, and chest pain.
