Kevin: ...... We almost lost...we nearly got killed back there...
Midna: And I'm sure that there's more coming.....
Kevin: Don't do that again....I promised we'd come back in one piece-
Midna: We will! Don't worry about me, geez...!

Kevin: ...I'll become stronger. That's why we're here...
Midna: ...So...I guess we're leaving this place?

So appearantly, the battle with Metal Sonic almost ended up in catastrophe... And now, the team is about to continue the journey.
