Description It's a day late but eh......to be fair people are still having parties and really...why should I just show patriotism once a year? I started it yesturday but uhhh I had too much going on to really work on it.

Really I just wanted to post an independence day picture. Once again I'm going along with my theme of diversity and equality, but most of all...respect. I think that Americans really need to recognize this more about our country. Its a diverse place. Even the "minorities" aren't really minor. If I go to korea I doubt I would see that many of middle eastern or african descent. Theres been a lot of tension between everyone for a while now. I think people need to realize that not every hispanic is an illegal immigrant and that there ARE people of different origins that are illegal. Its a horrible stereotype. Its understandable why its a big problem of course....I'm sure a lot of born americans don't even know basic facts about the country, I admit I'm one of them. So I give my highest respect to those that do know and are willing to take that citizenship test.

I also think people should acknowledge that just because your riding the bus next to a muslim doesn't mean that they're gonna blow you up. I won't even start on how much I heard racial things about african americans after Obama became president. Then theres that whole battle of gay rights. And of course about the soldiers fighting in iraq. These people are putting their lives on the line to fight to protect our country and to help bring about peace. I've heard too many stories about soldiers serving and then comming back to america in celebration of their safe return home and then being shot in their own country over a minor dispute. One of my own family members experienced this and I think its terrible! Survive a war and die in your own home.

As americans I think we need to respect the people here no matter their origin or the circumstance. We should respect people and their political views, their sexual preferences, their religious ideals, and just in general learn to be respectful in what we say and do. Yes we do have the freedom of expression and we have the right to let our voice be heard, but lets not be angry or biased or put everyone in the same category because of a few people and what they've done. One word can make a minor dispute turn into a huge happening.

So with that said...happy 4th 5th of July! 8D and I'm disabling comments for the one smart comment I'll probably get.
