After returning with an excursion from Danville, Southern #630 sits in all of her glory and lets off a little steam. If it were not for this engine's return to steam, we would not have any mainline steam excursions on the NS and 611 would not have been restored.Related content

For sure! This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Her entire consist was Tuscan Red (minus the canteen car), and she didn't have any diesel helpers, which she will probably get during scheduled excursions given the fact that 630 and 765 always have a diesel behind them during mainline excursions.
