Description UPDATE: This is old crap now. Sorry if the description changed.
After all, it's been a long time since I last played Spirit Tracks. It's nothing personal, though.

Zelda @ Nintendo

(I rest my case, anyway...)

I'm beginning to wonder what a bigboy would look like on the Hyrulian network.... No, now I don't want to know....

A trolley car is electric. Even at that, the term "Trolley" is actually referring to the electric overhead wire, the cars themselves are either streetcars or interurban (streetcar=street running, stopping on request, no toilet. interurban=between cities, rural areas, farmside stops, toilet.)
And you said  "if those yellabelies forgotten to take trains seriously".
I still agree with your point entirely though, just a little nitpick.

Wind Waker graphics, a NEW low? You're actually one of those people who dislike Wind Waker graphics because they look 'kiddy'? I had no idea they actually existed!

Oh, holy shit!

Look, I apologized for that nonsense.
I'll changed the description later on...

Do you even know what's the Demon Train? Ya know, the big train with a Ganon-like face that's actually sentinel? (it seems to be a 2-8-2 looking like a JNR D-51 Mikado)

Yeah, I knew that guy.

I guess I sorta messed up for a bit if I tried to bring up logic in the Spirit Tracks world?

That thing is just creepy. I mean, just look at that face! (even though it's a 2-8-2 with two tender-like cars)

Wow, now that's something.

Quite a history for such a locomotive from a different place.

Anyone say "Our Trains are Different"?

What's even weirder, how the heck can that random Wii Fit 0-6-2 pull a train that seems too long and too heavy for it?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RailroadNutjob In reply to TrainzMan14578 [2012-12-02 09:08:28 +0000 UTC]

Hmm, exactly...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TrainzMan14578 In reply to RailroadNutjob [2013-03-09 20:43:21 +0000 UTC]

Yet the train's out of date, considering how a wacky 0-6-2 is pulling a freight with containers on it.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RailroadNutjob In reply to TrainzMan14578 [2013-03-09 22:38:03 +0000 UTC]

Hmm, I agreed.

TrainzMan14578 In reply to RailroadNutjob [2013-03-23 05:18:59 +0000 UTC]

And why are it's brakes on the rear of the tender instead of inside the cab? That's also unrealistic.

The most annoying thing about the engine is that it's blowing its whistle when nobody's in it!

It also has happened to the train from the Toy Story3 video gane.

"G.W.R.... we'd never been that far..."

That Wii Fit locomotive looks exactly like K64 from Paper Mario, doesn't it? Except with a crummy Spirit Train "inverse-smokebox" "potbelly" boiler. Nintendo locomotive evolution at its finest.

Nice illustration. The GWR 6100 looks mighty fine with a square-case lamp and Hyrulian insignias. Surely you ought have had a say in Spirit Tracks' art department.

It's a shame when developers can't cue their railway designs to the appropriate era and locale for the greater setting that they're trying to portray-- especially when railways factor into a game as prominently as they do in Spirit Tracks. The mis-matched elements really drag down the immersion factor that usually features so strongly in Zelda games.

"Nintendo locomotive evolution at its finest", you bet it is.
Well, at least they tried...
