Nice to see a very brotherly/sisterly moment scene between Woody and Jessie. Many people like the idea of pairing Woody and Jessie as a couple-which is okay, that's their preference-but I personally like the way Pixar did it with Woody/Bo and Buzz/Jessie. An astronaut and a cowgirl is not your first thought of the perfect couple, but it's more than that. It shows that you wait for that special someone who is just right for you, and not what society expects. Also, I think that Buzz and Jessie balance each other out so well like Woody and Bo Peep do. With their temperaments, I don't think Woody and Jessie would get into some really painful fights worse as husband and wife than as brother and sister.

And about Tom Hanks resemblance, it'q wanted, because Woody's design had to be inspired bu the actor who would be his voice, and Tom Hanks was choose, so....
