They started dating recently. Felicia's really excited about having a boyfriend! Arthur's... Still getting used to having a girlfriend. They're both enjoying it, nonetheless!Well, you know that art trade I'm late for that I keep mentioning? It's finally here!! Q7Q It's my very late part of an art trade I did with ! Ahh... First of all, I wanna apologize for my tardiness. I'm generally a pretty untimely person, but I'm around two years late with this by now- that's way past limits qmq I'm so sorry that I kept you waiting for so long!! ;o; This made me realize that, as much as I whine about deadlines, I need them to get stuff done- at some point I decided to set yesterday as the deadline, once I did that I made progress much more quickly ;7; And even then I still managed to be late with that as well qvq
About the drawing-- My original idea was pretty different and I liked it a lot, but after about one year and a half I realized my abilities weren't on a level where I could make it work yet. TTvTT (I did manage to draw a pretty neat Westminster Bridge for it though, so I might still finish it sometime-) So I decided to go with something else, and out of the other ideas I had, this was the one that worked best and looked nicer, so I went with it!
It's... Probably the best thing I've done in ages, honestly ;7; I need to draw backgrounds more often- I really like how the trees turned out, even if I'm not sure they look like cherry blossom trees as intended (the picture needed that shoujo feel, y'know?) they're the neatest trees I've ever done haha- Not too happy with the coloring on England and nyo!Italy though, I was trying to go for backlit shading but it just turned out weird qvq Since I scanned it before coloring, I might play around with the coloring digitally some other time- Italy's bag is inspired by one I own, by the way =v= It's super cute!!
So, yeah. I hope you like it, and I'm really sorry for the long wait!! If you'd like me to draw you something else as an extra to make up for it, just let me know! ovo/

When I saw this image the first thing that popped into my head is Urusei Yatsura xD It reminds me of a scene from that anime. x3
You talk about imaging a scene but not having the level yet to do it; that happens to me aaaall the time too. xD Once I do a drawing I'm like "that's not how I imagined it to be." x'D
I really like how you did the trees too! Not just the flowers but the trunks look so nice too, with the shadow and light reflecting on them.
Ah yeah, backlit shading is the hardest to do. ^^
Ah, I started drawing some of my stuff too xD I didn't used to do it before, I don't know why, but now I do sometimes. x3 Or if I sketch someone outside and like the way they dress then I'll take inspiration from them for my own characters. ^-^

Yeah I had other ideas in mind at first actually, but none of them were working and this one turned out nice, so I thought it'd be cool for them to have matching themes x'D
