Description
Three months of summer, my favorite time of year.
When I'm with you I know its where I should be.
Being in your arms held right close and near
is where I'm happiest, with you kissing me.
Sometimes I get a little dose of feels and I gotta get 'em out, y'know? Some sweetness for the summer and some art practice, trying to knock out the art block and drawing-hand sleepies. I hadn't done more detailed shading in a while and I was scared I had forgotten how to shade, so I picked up this sketch from a while ago later last night and started coloring. Tried a slightly different technique, added some overlays to brighten up the colors. Lots of layers of shading. Enjoy!

I'm glad! I really enjoy coloring them in; I have some more sketches sitting around but they are getting kinda old and I'm getting less inclined to finish them up ;0;
I try to pick my favorite ones and finish those up. I have a bust one with the two of them surrounded by tons of spring and summer colors that I need to find the time and motivation to finish up.

Speaking of coloring, you did an excellent job on their colors, they look real vivid and the fur detail is so lovely. Personally I suggest you finish up that one you were talking about, since the way you described it was so wonderful. Of course it doesn't have to be now you have to do it.
You are also like me with motivation, because I am so busy that I tend to get real lazy when it comes to art.... sometimes it's a herculean feat to want to motivate myself to finish/start new pictures because the ideas are there and they are fresh.
