Rainbow-man — What is this I don't even

Description I'm pretty sure this is a picture of semi-canon John and Karkat, with a side of BroadcastSystem!Dave and Tavros. I seriously don't know why this is happening, but I wanted to draw them. -shrug-
I was like, you know what makes this already non-nonsensical picture even more ridiculous? Stupid, half-assed colours instead of an actual background.

And so, here I am, giving you colourful pictures of ridiculous things.

Sloppy interspecies makeouts cuddles, yeaaaaaaahhhhh

Also I like Karkat's shoes. I want his shoes.

And Tavros' expression is really cute.

I keep forgetting that they're aliens. Which always makes them immediately more awesome; god, I have such a thing for human/alien relationships. It's the reason I like Mass Effect so much. -laugh-

I think Tavros is one of my favorite trolls to draw, if only because it's so much fun trying to figure out how to make his horns work in a picture! Haha, they're so inconvenient. On the subject of horns, and for the sake of my curiosity, what sort of horns do you imagine you would have, were you a troll? My friend and I have talked at length about such nonsense, and it's sort of interesting seeing other people's iterations of themselves as trolls. -eyebrow raise-

The logic of it always bugs me (like why two different species of alien would even have compatible bits), but I have to admit that when it works it works. Like with Karkat/John, the idea of them stumbling through how any kind of intimacy would even work is a lot more appealing than any outright porn would be, as far as I'm concerned.

Vriska's definitely the easiest to draw for me. She's a throwback to my days of drawing skinny bipches all the time.
Why even ask WHEN YOU CAN SEE: [link]
Actual answer: Sort of short, inverted ones. They'd curl forward like cartoon bunny ears and be sort of useless.

Oh pshaw, they don't need working parts. In fact, I'd prefer them not to, but that's a different conversation for a different day. I agree with you on the other stuff you said as well; I like the idea of any two random aliens having to randomly figure out how to go about romancing and being together. But then, I enjoy watching two awkward things making things work, so I suppose that's just me. -laugh-

All the time, every day. /dancedancedance

Dude. Dude that's epic. Dude. Like, just. Dude.

NON-SEQUITUR. So I used to try really hard to sound articulate, but more and more often I find myself writing as colloquially as I speak, which is a shame. I blame you, and my level of comfort when speaking to you. Soon enough, you'll be enduring horrible poems and thing that haven't been spell checked, along with even more gratuitous usage of the words "like" and "dude." So, good job with that.

Your ideas intrigue me, and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter. I know that the sheer awkwardness of Karkat/John is one of the draws for me, so there's no reason it shouldn't extend to this area.

Err'day I be hustlin'.

Cast of thousands, billion boondollar budget.

Aww. You. I actually had to remind myself that stuff like sentence fragments were okay online a lot, at points. I'm a terrible language purist, a lot of the time, and outside of the classroom it's just a source of irritation. A couple of doses of "like" and "dude" with a side of horrible poetry are probably good medicine.

Uh. I think it adds some form of strength to a relationship to know that sex is never a real factor. Obviously, there are ways around such things, but for the most part, I think it's nice to see that people can be in love without the physical aspect.

SO MANY BOONDOLLARS

Prepare yourself for magical happenstancery and horrible wordage. You will weep at your allowance of my colloquial tones, and when you are weeping at my mangling of the English language, you will know that. Uh. Something something something. Don't know where I was going with that. -laugh- Haha, I try to be articulate, but it falls flat because my mind won't slow down, and I skip over parts of sentences or something; either that or I just can't speak all the words in the right order, so fast is my mind making noise, and it's confusing and ugly all at the same time. I, alas, will never be as good at words as I would like.

Hmm... I partly agree with you. "Ways around" are more what I would be referring to, simply because I consider (for North American culture, at least) romantic and sexual attraction very strongly intertwined, even if it doesn't take the form of tab a entering slot b. That definitely isn't the only possible kind of relationship, though.
ALSO, I think that you, pally-friendy-pal-of-mine, would be interested in the Triangular Theory of Love . (Although I disagree with the conflation of "liking" and "friendship." It doesn't quite sit right with me.)

Is anyone, really? Well, I say that from the perspective of the close-mouthed introvert, so maybe they are. You're talking about semantics, though, I'm talking about syntax. There are few ways to more effectively get under my skin than by misusing "whom," and left to my own devices I will obsess over the form of my own sentences. All without actually saying anything meaningful. As far as meaning goes, it takes a while to sort of... distill what you want to say, and how to say it, from the whole stew of everything you're thinking about at any given time. I don't have the knack of it. I can't insert my opinions into a conversation without stumbling all over myself. Maybe someday, but not yet.

I think KarKat and John is my fave pairing out of this series. They are just so awesome together, and even in the story, it isn't hard to imagine them having something more. It isn't /too/ ridiculous.
LIES! THE BG DOES MAKE SENSE(in my mind)

I don't really ship anything in particular, which is amusing. Or, I should say, I ship everything and anything. It depends on what story it's in and how it's written, really. If there's a good story on them, I'll like the pairing. -laugh- It's why I like Dave and Tavros so much. "Broadcast System" pretty much made them, like, one of my favorite pairings ever. =laugh=

YEY GAY!

taztazhi In reply to Rainbow-man [2011-05-22 18:52:59 +0000 UTC]

I ship things depending on my state of mind at that time, I think. I think I just like Karkat and John together because they're my two faves. =I
Dave and Tavros are a good pairing, too, though I like Gamzee and Tavros better. I don't know how those two go together well at all. |D

Hooray for gay people~ ^^ I love being gay.

Haha, I can understand that... I usually draw Equius when I'm mad, so I guess it's sort of the same? -laugh-

Well, I would like that pairing better, but I dislike Gamzee so muuuuuuuuuuuuxh. I hate that guy; he's so mean and... and deathy. -laugh- He killed Nepeta! :c That fills me with sadtimes.

Yess~! It is sort of the same~ You you can kinda sorta maybe understand? x3 ;>>

That's exactly /why/ I like him. >> That, and he's my crush's fave char. |D So maybe it's more of a sub-conscious thing pairing them up? x3

Aushjdkgn UGHHH. You dislike Nepeta? //cry That hurts me so! -laugh- Gamzee is okay as long as he's not killing shit, but as he is now, I... I totally hate him. He killed Equius, too... Wah, so much sad.
