Name: Yvette Yokoyama
Character Talent: Ultimate Glass Blower
Age: 18
Height: 4’10
Likes: Black clothes, Decora Kei, Architecture, History, anything cutesy/”fairy like”, freckles!! She really loves freckles. And makeup.
Dislikes: Charcoal and Chalk, her height, being belittled, excessive bass in music, her mother
Basic Personality Description: A cheery, albeit eccentric artist who believes she is much more mature than what her appearance may imply. Yvette is self sufficient and put-together, keeping everything around her in a neat order so nothing goes wrong- working with glass has taught her patience and control. Though she is very young at heart with her talent, adoring the beauty and complexity- yet delicate nature of glass. Yvette adores anything “fairy-like”, having an odd fascination with them. She is very defensive about her height and dresses in large clothing with interesting avante garde type hairclips/accessories to offset it.
Basic Backstory Description: Born out of wedlock from a Japanese man visiting France, Yvette has hardly lived in the European country for long. Her father, Hiroto Yokoyama, was a wood carving artist visiting France for a showcase, where he met Yvette’s mother, a street performer. Hiroto lived in France for two years, where his mistress gave birth to Yvette. They raised her for another seven years when she suddenly vanished. Yvette’s father was an emotional wreck after this, and seeing the distress it caused her father, Yvette had begun harboring hatred for her runaway mother. Her first exposure to glass sculpting was messing around her father’s workshop when she was five, resulting in a large burn on her arm and a trip to the hospital. However, the way it melted and moved fascinated her, so she would often sneak in and work on her glass sculpting projects in the dead of night while her family was asleep. Only when she moved back to Japan with her father at age ten was she truly able to explore and find her ultimate!
Fears: Falling, being crushed, being abandoned, animals with tusks, not being able to talk
Weaknesses: She’s very insecure about her body- hating both her shortness and how “uncute” all the burns on her arms look. Another is how dismissive she is whenever someone mentions her family, she doesn’t like to bring it up at all.
Strengths: She’s very thick skinned- both literally and physically from all her burn scars and cuts from working with her glass. She’s very good at finding creative solutions to problems.
