Um....you have 3rd gen and a regular horse as ?
I'm breeding my mare soon, but she's 3rd gen...which makes her foal....what?

Also, my mare is a 3rd gen, but she has pink/orange markings that are rare.
That confused me a bit. :/

Coral is a standard colour, it ranges from a bright orange to a pink "grapefruit" colour, so it's not particularly rare. The colours don't match the generations particularly, they kind of skip generations just like real horses (for example cremello is quite a rare colour, but in the right circumstances you can find it on a mongrel horse, as well as pure breeds like Akhal-tekes for example)

When 3GENS are bred to normal horses the offspring are no longer classified as Tronequine, but the occasional colour trait slips through. For example the foal might have one coloured hoof. Or a tiny glowing stripe etc.

Can't wait to see the foal, this will be the first mixed tronequine breeding

When I was randomizing the future of my Tronequine mare it dawned on me, are they allowed to have twins? Like at the rate of normal horses where it's rare for all to survive? And if so my mare is a rare color, if she had two foals from a rare stallion would they both be rare or one be rare and one be uncommon or what?

check the gallery for the sheet about breeding (it's in featured) that explains colours etc. And yeah twins are possible but rare.

Awesome guide. x3 Question: If we were to breed a third gen to a horse, would we get the unknown 4th gen? XD

hahaha i did think about 4GEN. nah i think what would happen is it would be 50/50, the horse could be totally normal or have a tiny amount of markings just on the face on neck, and they probably wouldn't glow. Basically as the generations go down the markings get less and less intense.

So it just gets more and more diluted, that makes sense. x3 Though, what would happen if you crossed two of the diluted "4Gens" together, would you get a 3rdgen or would you need several crosses to get back up to a 3rd gen?

nah, whatever happens ou can't "upscale" doesn't work that way, you can only downscale.

what if you breed a tronequine with an other glowing breed what generation is that and can you combine markings?

RainbowFountains In reply to Agent-Hill [2011-01-18 21:06:06 +0000 UTC]

just add X after whatever gen it is. for example if you bred a 2GEN with a hototo then i guess you'd have a medium build horse with glowy stripes, i'd call that 3GEN X Hototo.

If you have any fanatasy breed with unique markings then yeah i'd say breeding them with a tronequine would result in a mixture of those markings with the glow. go for it!
