Description

The beggar in front of the bakery where Sara buys six rolls and gives all but one to her, to which the baker and his wife decide to take Anne in, giving her a job and a place to sleep.

Anne doesn't really have a backstory, so I made up that Anne ran away from a workhouse after she learned her mother died. Workhouses back then were very strict. Families were split up and could even be punished for attempting to speak together, work was hard and menial, and discipline was severe. She was caught once and severely punished for it, but the second time she ran away, she stayed on the streets. She preferred the streets to the workhouse. Sure, it was cold and rainy, but at least she had her freedom.

I imagine once Anne is taken in, she's happy to live in a place that's warm and comfortable, and she doesn't have to go hungry. I imagine she doesn't go to school, but she's taught to read and write and do basic arithmetic by working the cash register, as well as how to cook (that's a given working in a bakery tho, lol). She also would get along with Sara and Becky, and looks forward to when they come give money to allow them to give away bread.

Anne would take over the bakery once she's grown, but after that I don't have anything planned for her. Either way, hope you enjoied my little history of Anne.
