Heyo! It's been a while since my last upload, but I have a solid reason... I've been working on this contest entry!Those who use PaigeeWorld might be aware of the Sailor Moon colouring competition: serafleur made these beautiful lines, so I thought I'd give it a go colouring! There are so many strong entries in this competition I feel my chances are slim ;w;
I do have one request~ Could you guys help get me into the top 30 entries by liking it on PaigeeWorld ? All entries undergo a process of selection, and it's up to you guys to help me get through round 1 voting ♥

First off, I love Sailor Moon! And I love to see how artists interpret her. As for the critique, the ratings between 3 and 4 stars...... don't take those as a bad thing. The background is good, the colors are fantastic, and most of the lines are in the right place.
Now, her torso, from shoulders down to her waist, is out of proportion just a touch. I'd say moreso between her upper shoulders to mid-chest. It's a bit elongated. There are two other issues I have with this illustration. The first is that some of the lines look less finished than others; her hands need some more definition. The second is relatively minor, and that is the framing of the subject. She should be centered in the illustration. But what I would do is open up the left side of the picture, because there are elements to the right that are very important. That would help to center her in the frame. Since eye contact is very important even in drawn characters, by using the rule of thirds, you'll see that her eyes should fall in the center-top square. You don't want a viewer's eyes to move around too much on the picture.

Firstly, I must clear up a misunderstanding, and that is I did not draw the lineart-- I in fact coloured in the lines ! Please don't feel like the above critique is now deemed invalid, because as an artist I can still objectively learn from others and I really am grateful for your analysis of the anatomy and inconsistencies here. I definitely learnt a lot from your suggestions and I will be sure to include your tips for my future works; these are all really good points that I need to watch out for too!
