Dan awoke slowly, allowing himself to fully wake before opening his eyes and looking around the room, taking in its brightness. He looked to his window, noticing the clear blue sky that reminded him of Phil's eyes, rolling over to check his phone; it was 10:37 AM.
Dragging himself out of bed and taking a shower, he tried to make himself look presentable, the one thought playing on his mind as he dried and got dressed, fixing his hair and checking himself over in the mirror.
Today was the day Phil was coming home.

Phil stared out the window, watching as the clouds imitated large marshmallows, sun beams streaming through their fluffiness. My Chemical Romance streamed through his headphones, his head bobbing slightly in time to the music as the lyrics swam through his mind, trying to distract him from thinking of that special someone that he knew would be waiting for him at home.

Dan waited, sitting in the beanbag and playing Skyrim, trying to distract his thinking, failing as even the littlest things reminded him of Phil and the fact his best friend was coming home and soon.
He smiled as he indulged himself in the fond memories of Phil's diamond blue eyes, his adorable smile where he stuck his tongue out the side of his mouth, his raven black hair that framed his pale face perfectly, and his beyond cute animal impressions.
Dan smiled, warmth spreading throughout him and leaving a fuzzy feeling in his stomach. He assumed this was what it felt like to be in love.

Phil grew impatient with excitement as he twiddled his thumbs in the back of the taxi, staring out the window and watching the buildings and people pass him by without a care, all thoughts and feelings focused on one person, one person that right now, was driving him crazy. He could not wait to see him again, see his grin, hear his laugh, see the twinkle in his chocolate eyes as he grew excited and maybe even see a glimpse of those adorable curls that Dan always seemed against.
As a smile plastered itself to Phil's face, his heart racing, beating fast against his ribcage, he wondered if this was the feeling others called 'being in love'.

Dan paced around the living room, checking the time every so often, growing impatient with every second gone by.
He sat down with a sigh, placing his face in his hands. To calm himself down, he began planning what he was going to do when Phil returned; would he hug him first, or kiss him? Simply stare and smile, unsure of what to do next? Maybe even say 'I love you' like couples do.
He heard the jingling of keys as the front door was opened, jumping up and rushing out into the corridor to be greeted with the best sight in the world: Phil.

Paying the taxi driver, Phil began to drag his suitcase into the lobby, pressing for the elevator as he shuffled from foot to foot, impertinence eating away at him as seconds ticked by. When the elevator arrived, he hauled in his suitcase and jammed the button, beginning to plan what he was going to do when he saw Dan; would he greet him like the old friends they were? Kiss him like the passionate lovers they had become? Or maybe whisper 'I love you' into his ears like newlyweds do.
He jingled his keys, unlocking the door, nervous excitement leaving butterflies in his stomach as he pushed the wooden obstacle open, looking up to be greeted with the best sight in the world: Dan.
