"I hate you!!"

Came the loud shout that you quickly realized was coming from your best friend. A slow eyebrow was raised as you watched her fast, angry steps coming towards you. Her expression was none to happy and if it were any normal situation, you would have said sorry and gave a shrug of your shoulders by now. Not knowing why she had shouted something of that nature, all you could do was stand and wait as she came closer . Once she was at a good enough distance, she used this advantage to glare daggers at your direction, it seemed the little amount of tension had grown between both of you.

"Hey Meg--""Don't Hey me! How could you do this to me?"She began, her face was filled with hurt. You were clearly confused by this sudden change in events and tried to speak but was inturrupted once more by a hand in front of your face. "Save it. I knew you were jealous of me and my boyfriend the minute you saw us together..."Her head shook side to side as your once best friend was now staring at you in disgust. Complete and utter disgust. It felt as if the ceiling was crumbling down on top of you as you stood there not knowing what to say...what to do. For a moment, you closed your eyes and took slow,steady breaths just to keep yourself calm before taking a step towards the red head.

"Look, I am going to be very honest with you,Megan",you began, glancing at the floor for a moment. "I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about..." Her eyes searched yours and for a split second, it almost seemed like her anger had gone. But it came back just as fast as it went. Your friend scoffed"You really think i'm going to believe you after what you just did? You're the worst!"Her voice was louder then before.

You guys were previously in the middle of the hallways of your High School and you knew that there were people watching this scene play out three minutes before the 3rd period bell.

Fingers tightened on the strap of your backpack that was swung over one shoulder"I don't know what your talking about...". This was starting to get ridiculous. She locked her jaw, her green eyes gleaming with hatred. "You know what", she lifted her hands up slowly"I'm not even going to explain myself to you. The fact that my boyfriend cheated on me with you is enough to make me wanna puke." You could not have been more taken aback then in that moment. You slowly raised a hand on your chest, eyes wide. "M,megan.....I..."Your mouth felt dry and you found it hard to speak. As if the situation couldn't have been worse, a group of girls passed you...The leader of the clique sneering at your direction. Her eyes glinting with that mischevious vain. You knew that she had something to do with this since she had hated you ever since the beginning of the year. You wanted to scream, yell, shout and try and shake some sense into your friend that everything she was told was a lie. That what she was hearing was a lie...what Megan believed was just a huge fat lie that would only make you feel more miserable. More out of place and detached from what you was trying to make sense of. You stood there, eye still wide from all that was happening..from what people in the hallway were witnessing. For once in all your life, you were getting all the attention and it was not the attention you wanted...

Megan scoffed in disbeleif"By your stunned silence, I'm guessing you have no excuses"she muttered bitterly. You said nothing, knowing that even if you denied the rumor even by the slightest...it would just be a waste of youe breath. Your eyes met and for a second it almost seemed like she wanted you to deny it, wanted you to say something,anything! When you did nothing, she angrily turned on her heel and before stopping to glance over her shoulder"Just because you're miserable about your families death doesn't give you the right to make me feel the same..."As soon as it came out of her mouth, an expression of regret flooded over her. People in the hallways parted their mouths, others covered them as they watched your face turn two shades paler. Your bottom lip began to trembled and you shook your head a bit, the numbing reminder of what happened to your family practically shredding your insides. Megan faced you"{y,y/n}...I didn't mean to--"

You were running before you could even hear your once best friend finish her sentence. Running past classmates, enemies, teachers. You kept running, pushing the the door exit open as hard as you could. The stairs made you stumble but you didn't stop moving, running, trying to get away from the building that you once had friends at. The familiar shout of your childhood friend,Trent could be heard from behind your running steps. "{y/n}! Wait!" You didn't though and soon felt hand grab your wrist and stop you. "Just wait,alright! Tell me what happened"he panted, staring into your {e/c} eyes. They began to water up and his face softened"H,hey...What's wrong?"Trent's eyebrows furrowed a bit and you could tell he was concerned but you just....couldn't deal with anything or talk to anyone right now. You just wanted to go home though you knew that even your house didn't even feel like home...not anymore. You felt as his hands went to your shoulders and he tilted his head to the side"{y/n}....please, talk to me"his voice had gotten quieter now, which only made the crumbling emotions you had ache more.

Your lips parted, a sad face portraying along your features"I...I..can't.."You slipped away from his grip as the tears finally spilled from your eyes and this time you did not run, you walked slowly, hugging your arms to try and find the little comfort you couldn't feel.

By the time you got home, you threw your backpack on the floor and collasped on your bed, curling yourself into a ball. More tears streamed down your cheeks....feeling Broken, Frustrated, and Alone....
