Description As the sun shone brightly and the air was crisp causing a shiver to slither down the four armed girl's spine. Rubbing her arms as she pulled her coat tighter she sighed softly, her eyes looking at the sky as she sat under a tree in the courtyard of the school. Letting her thoughts wander she frowned thinking back on certain events.

Walking through the academy the eagle man held up an arm to guard his eyes from the sunlight coming through a window he passed. He'd done rounds of most of the corridors in the Academy to no avail. And approached a window to try and see through the light out. He could see the courtyard. And out in the sun under a tree, the one he was looking for.

With a small uncertain sound he opened the window and jumped from it, his wings springing forth to glide him down to land on the grass just below the building he'd come from as his wings seemed to burn away under the light. It was colder weather but he felt feverish instantly and a ringing in his head as he screwed his eyes shut for a moment before using his arm to try and shade them enough to open one of them and start at a power walk towards her.

He resented the fact he wasn't capable of yelling, else he would have just called out to her, he sped up to a jog but he felt more sluggish with every step. Finally getting close enough to try and get her attention by calling her name in his normal voice; "Saahara--"

Opening her eyes when she heard her name she turned her sights to the male. Blinking she wondered why he was trying to get her attention but realized it was day and he was outside. Jumping to her feet she moved to meet him where he stood. "W-what are you doing out here?!" Taking off the scarf that adorned her head she quickly put it over his head to offer some shade from the sun.

There was a dull burning sensation on his exposed skin as Saahara quickly used her scarf to create some shade. He shuddered a little at the way his body felt. In hindsight... "I was..."

It had been a really stupid idea to walk out in the sun, "I... Can we...?" What had possessed him to think this was a good idea? "Talk...?" Though his head was spinning enough for him to lurch backwards, falling onto his back, panting loudly.

Panicking slightly still she was more concerned with getting him out of the sun than listening to his words at the moment. When he did in fact pass out, Saa moved to his side. Placing her hands on his form she looked around before pulling him into her grasp. Using an ability she didn't use often, she focused for once. Dispersing in a cloud of smoke she pulled Regan with her through space until the reappeared in one of the darker corridors of the school. Huffing she pulled her jacket off before covering any of his exposed skin.

He continued to pant, though he wasn't fully out yet. And her efforts helped, if not made him kind of nauseous from being suddenly pulled to a new location. He coughed and made a displeased sound before managing to sit up a bit, leaning on a hand to press a fist against his temple. "hh..." He screwed his eyes shut for a bit. Taking his time to blink then a few times, it was much better in the shade though that the stone halls provided.

Watching him closely she furrowed her brows worried at his reactions to sunlight. She wondered if he would be ok and also if there would be any other perverse effects due to his stunt. "What were you thinking? You could have thrown something at me or something else if you were trying to get my attention!"

"I... Was looking for you." Was all he had to say for himself, rubbing his forehead and managing to sit up properly, still breathing kind of heavy and his skin hot to the touch. "I need a moment, hang on..."

Sitting down in front of him she looked over the male, unsure how to help she pulled on the foods of her dress. "Take as much time as you need."

He definitely did. Sitting still for awhile just panting. And eventually closing his eyes and swallowing a bit, and looking at her, "I'm good now..." Good enough at least. And after a pause lifted his hand as if to greet her like this situation they were in was just a normal day.

Closing her eyes she was trying to ignore the slight sting in her heart, after all where things were, Saa had no idea what would come next. Pressing her fingers through the ends of her hair she occasionally lifted her head to look at Regan. When he spoke she nodded slightly holding up her hand to return the gesture. "So what is it you wanted to talk to me about?"

Regan looked around the dark corridor, sitting on the stone. Not the best place to have a meaningful conversation. But beggars couldn't be choosers, and he had to talk about it with her. "About the other night on the roof... What happened then... We need to talk about that..." It was a start, but it was difficult for him. He wanted to close up all over again. But he was trying not to.

When he brought up the memory she frowned, this would surely be a painful conversation for the both of them. “A-ah sure. W-what exactly about it, did you want to talk about?” Could he regret it? Or perhaps he wanted to explain why he left? Either way, she had to still her hands in her lap as her nerves took over.

"I'm not sure how to..." He confessed after a pause. "But... It's better than how I acted before..." He was talking quieter now, "I shouldn't have run out on you..."

Biting the inside of her lip she offered him a reassuring smile as she always has. “It-its ok. We both were a bit impulsive. I’m sure you were just as startled as I was about what happened.”

He shook his head a little, "I need to explain..." Why was it so hard to talk to her? He swallowed and lifted a hand to rub the back of his neck. His eyes found themselves taking in the details of his close friend's lips for a moment, and it threw him off some. He wasn't sure if he wanted to run all over again or just kiss her again.

"Listen... It would have been upsetting... Me running... That wasn't my intention..." He looked away, down one of the halls.

Looking back up from her slightly trembling hands she searched his face for a moment. His words reached her slowly, but she was patient. As she responded, her voice was low and sombre, “Then might I ask what intention you held?”

He closed his eyes, "what happened... Kissing you... I wanted that." It was slightly easier with his eyes closed, "but... It wasn't fair that I did that when you don't know..." He opened his eyes half-way, and was eventually able to bring his gaze to meet hers. "I can tell you..." But he was hesitant. Perhaps at this point she just wanted to forget everything. He couldn't tell by her expression where she was in all this yet...

Feeling her chest heave and lighten at his admittance to wanting the kiss, the four armed female blinked wide eyed and a bit shocked, this conversation was proving to be a happier one than she'd originally imagined. Focusing her thoughts on him she gave him a worried look, "Tell me what?"

"That..." 'Just say it. Tell her so she knows and can decide. She's smart, she'll know what the right decision is for her.' He swallowed again, his throat felt dry. 'Say it...' "I'm worried it'll cause you pain. I... Back in my realm... It's really... Easy for someone like me to end up dead." He forced out very quietly. "I'm not afraid of that... But I am if it's you who will feel it the most." 'There...' But he didn't feel relieved, he felt like he was sinking actually.

Thinking for the moment as she listened to his words, her worries were multiplying. Feeling her breath catch in her chest, it seemed more difficult to expel it than usual. When he didnt speak anymore, Saa moved to wrap her arms around his shoulders, her head moving to rest on his shoulder gently as her eyes closed. Speaking lowly still she found it hard to believe she was speaking this freely to her friend again, "If you were to die, I would grieve deeply even at this point. You are my closest friend, in my culture, it is a bond more special than anything."

He shifted, surprised when she drew close to him, and his expression sombering at her words. "I..." He closed his eyes, "I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner..." He moved one hand like he wanted to touch her shoulder but he was ever so hesitant. "It was cruel to keep it from you..." And now that he was here, he didn't know what to do, he felt an incredible sense of guilt for the place he'd put Saahara in.

Saahara pulled back slightly, her eyes were damp with swelling tears. "I am sure it wasn't easy keeping it inside either." Frowning still she sat back to give him his space. It was evident she cared deeply for the male in the way she gripped all of her hands together, the worry in the focus of her eyes on the ground. Evidence of her racing mind in her thoughtful appearance. "I..." Pausing for a moment she tried to calm her thoughts and arrange them in a more understandable way, "I am not strong enough to offer you my protection or help, but perhaps in the future..." taking a deep breath she raised her eyes a sort of determination to them, "In the future, I want to be your aid when you need it."

He looked at her with some awed confusion at her words. The emotion on her face was ever so clear even to human eyes, to him it was impossible not to see all over her. He was quiet for a long while as he looked at her, processing every word slowly, his lips very slightly ajar, How did he get here right now? "Damn it Saahara..." He brought a hand behind her head gently to bring his forehead against hers, "I'm trying to save you from this, not recruit you..." But the corner of his mouth was lifting a little.

Closing her eyes as he pulled her head to his, she couldn't help but laugh a bit at his words, "Well it is much too late to save me from it. The moment you became someone important to me, all chances of sending me away went out the window." For a second her family popped in her head, what would they say she wondered? If this was the path she chose it would be the warrior lifestyle from now on... something she didn't mind.

He closed his eyes, she seemed so certain in herself in the here and now. His fingers curled through her silky black hair a bit, not enough to clench though. "... Then I will desist trying to convince you otherwise... I just have a request." He murmured, drawing away from her. This was really happening huh...? He felt like it wasn't real, it wasn't hitting him yet. "Wait a few days, before you decide once and for all. So you have time to think about it." This was not something he believed only needed a few minutes to think over. "I'm not going anywhere... If you still want to after that. Come tell me."

Rubbing her eyes to rid them of any excess moisture, Saa looked him in the face when he drew away again. "My answer wont change, but because you request it, I will return in a few days." She had listened to his words, and knew this would be her path. Her people were believers that when a path was set before you, one would know if it were the path meant for you. Saahara knew without fail she was born to be a warrior and his friend.

He wondered how she could sit there so stubborn and certain of herself. But, on the inside, whilst he cared ever much for her safety, and ultimately, how she'd feel if something happened to him, there was a place cheering her on. "I will respect whatever you choose when we talk again." If Saahara had done anything during their friendship it had been earning his respect above all else. So perhaps he trusted this decision with her even more than he did with himself. So conflicted between wanting her close and wanting her safe.

Smiling once more she had no idea the thoughts going through his mind. Feeling a bit relieved now, she moved her hands to straighten out her dress before looking away from him. "Well now that that is settled, was there anything else you wanted to ask before I insist you go find somewhere to sleep peacefully?"

He almost, almost laughed at her words. He shook his head in assurance that he'd said all he had to say. Now this feeling he had, this was much better. Things felt clearer to him, and leaning a hand on the wall he drew up to his full height slowly. Sleep sounded like a wonderful idea... "That I can do..." He lifted a hand to wave to her in the slightest gesture, before stepping back a few steps and turning to start off back to his room. 'I'll believe this all just happened if it's still in my memory after I sleep,' he thought to himself incredulously, but hardly resentfully.

Watching him rise she smiled as waved. She supposed this was a good way to leave things at the moment. Standing she brushed off her legs before walking in the opposite direction, perhaps now that her heart was at ease she could go focus on training.
