"... now this all that will remind me of our time together."I was doodling and something that looked like a canine nose/mouth came out of it. So I thought "Why not draw a cute little Vulpix?". Then I drew the ear hanging and found it looked rather nice, but a happy expression wouldn't go too well with that. Then ruffling the fur seemed fitting. The pose looked so stiff with it just sitting there, so I made it lift a paw which looked strange without holding anything, so I handed made it hold its' former pokeball.
Long story short: This was meant to be cute, but then I somehow ended up killing off someone, taking a piece of a Vulpix's ear and last but not least broke the poor things heart...
If someone's looking for me, I'm in the corner being ashamed of myself.

You said "former pokeball" so I first thought she was released, but then you said you ended up killing someone off, that made me think her trainer died after a very intense battle that caused a lot of damage, only thing I could think of that would have done both that and taken off part of her ear.
I'm loving the details, they really emphasize the drawing and give it the sad feeling you're trying to portray.

Yes, that's pretty much what I had in mind.
I'm not sure if I want the partner to be a trainer or rather some researcher, traveller or something similar, but yeah. The person was attacked and didn't want to get the Vulpix into danger, but in the end realized there was no escape and thus let the Vulpix out of its' pokeball so that at least the loyal pokemon could flee. Of course the Vulpix stayed to fight. It fainted and when it woke up, the person was already dead.

Yes, makes you wonder what the carnivores eat. I doubt that the canine and feline pokemon eat plants. If they made a more realistic pokemon series (where people actually age, lol) that would also be an aspect to consider.

Yeah same here. After watching that video I remember those scenes, lol. Now that they have kept coming out with newer pokemon to basically replace those animals we can give names to those things they ate back then.

I remember seeing a comic years ago where someone also thought about the food matter. Oddish was made into a salad there, can't recall what else was there though (I don't think Miltank existed yet back then).
