Cherry opened her eyes. She was surrounded by light. She stood up, quickly. And then she realized she was completely healed. Her wing, her leg, even the scar from the Deelagun. They were healed. And she was wearing a white neckerchief rather like her night sky one, but instead of a moon it was a sun.
Cherry looked around and saw Poseidon. He was dressed in all white, and like her was completely healed. His wing, his arm, his ear, and his eye. They were all healed.
“Cherry,” Poseidon gasped, noticing her.
“Poseidon!” Cherry smiled, running over to him.
He looked at his arms and felt where he had been blinded by a Kindrin a year ago. The scars were gone.
“I can see,” Poseidon said, “Cherry, I can see. I haven’t been able to see out of this eye for a year. But I’m healed, everything’s healed!”
“Yes, Poseidon,” Cherry smiled, “We are healed.”
Cherry looked up to see a strange gro standing near to them. She had only seen this gro once before. Cherry had never met this gro before in life, but she had a feeling that she had known this gro for a very long time.
“You were right,” Cherry said, “It wasn’t my time to go.”
Then she looked over at her brother.
“But it is now.”
The gro smiled at them, and led them to a tunnel of light.
Cherry and Poseidon walked over to it, side by side, until they disappeared. But before everything faded away, one last sound was heard. It was one word, and it was spoken in the most joyous happy tone. It was the exclamation of delight upon seeing a very dear friend again. And it came from Poseidon.

“Tabbs!”

Well, that’s it. That’s officially the end of the adventure with these two. I had a lot of fun with them and I’m sad to see them go. But I’m glad I could end their story before I got bored of it, I’m glad I could give them some closure. I’m glad I got to do most of the things that I wanted to with them. There are still some things I didn’t get to do, but I ran out of time. I was originally going to make this a comic, but I just ran out of time. I’m leaving to serve a mission for my church tomorrow for a year and a half, and I still have so much to do.

Cherry and Poseidon will always hold a special place in my heart. I loved developing their story and I will miss them.

Cherry was based off of me. Energetic, adventurous, and probably crazy, but loving nonetheless. She’s my fluffy pink dragon monster, and I will always miss her.

Poseidon was created to be everything Cherry wasn’t. She was pink, he was blue. She had a bump nose, he had a round one. (I meant to give Cherry a bump nose, but I forgot and that’s why they had the same nose when they were Wynglings.) Cherry had front claws, and Poseidon had back claws. Cherry was a quad, and Poseidon was a biped. Cherry was covered in fur and spikes, and Poseidon was covered in feathers and scales. Cherry was adventurous and reckless, Poseidon was timid and thoughtful. But as I developed him, he became much more than that.

I can truly say that out of all of the characters I have created, Cherry and Poseidon are some of my very favorites. Perhaps I’ll pay homage to them in other stories I create in the future. But I’m afraid none of them will make it to dA.

I’m saying goodbye to Wyngro and Cherry and Poseidon, but I’m also saying goodbye to dA. I’ve had some good times, but I’m honestly relieved to leave. It just wasn’t a good fit for me. But I’m glad I got to do it with a bang.

So goodbye, Cherry and Poseidon. Goodbye, Wyngro. Goodbye, deviantArt. And goodbye to everyone who’s always been nice to me.

It’s been fun. But the sun has set on this part of my life, and my night is only beginning.
