What are the lilly pads connected to? It looks like temporal destabalizers but I could be wrong (and that is rare). If you truly have a chance to explain this weird image I'd be happy to lock horns with you.

I totally looked at it again but still feel those devices below the lilly pads are t.d.s (temporal destabalizers) and their fuction is to turn the body of water (the environment is aquatic yet not to deep so I think it's a pond) into a transdimesional gateway allowing shamblers to come through and also allowing humans to enter and become shamblers themselves. You can check me if you wish, but as far as interpretations of paintings go I think I nailed it. Anyway I look forward to your next work, you have a very cool style.

You're taking the painting way too literally. The lily pads are simply plugged into the earth, just like a lamp or other appliance into a wall outlet. This is supposed to symbolize our endless need for energy conflicting with our need to preserve the earth from which everything comes. Eventually those two factors might be nearly impossible to have together, so we will have to resort to artificially creating our own nature.

My comments were honestly just light hearted chiding but I really appreciate this admission of what you were up to when you made this painting. I look forward to your future works.
Nonetheless really awesome work but I cannot be changed. I am renaming your painting "Trans-dimensional Shamble Port" inside my mind.

Really great concept! I study biology and our professor told us that if we manage to artificially reproduce the light catching systems contained leaves we could make solar panels that will be much more efficient than the ones we currently have.

Love this! I'm not much on art theory and critique (I know what I like, but I can't draw myself), but I can tell you that the instant I saw this it inspired the writer in me.

This is one great piece of artwork. Imagine that these lotus are artificial? I can't just imagine this. Imagine those lotus, anchored in the water, like if they were real? It would be devastating to see this in the future, us, growing these artificial leaves while the real ones are extinct from our earth. So, the message of this art in my interpretation, is, let plants grow naturally, and don't replace them with artificial ones.

That would be a horrible future. I can imagine everyone hiding behind the excuse of "technological advancement" just to make it all seem less devastating. That's how I see our world ending.

That future is very horrible. We don't want to use artificial plants to mimic extinct plants. We don't want that. Instead, let's preserve those plants and never let them get extinct.

Yes. We don't need to "modify" anything. Nature is perfect and precious the way it is.

You're right. There is no need to "modify" nature. Nature is perfect and indeed, very precious.

Chances are Nature will modify itself and well, you only have to look at the news and the amount of freak storms that are ever more frequent.
Despite mans technological achievements, we still have nothing on nature. Plants will find away, and they will be around long after we are gone - be it due to war, or an planetary exodus to another part of the universe, earths nature will be around until the solar system dies with our star. It's man's time that is ironically on the edge of a knife. We are snug in our little world, but change that a little bit and it soon falls apart - that is why nature still has the upper hand, how in a night a town could get washed away, or engulfed in a avalanche.

WOW this hit me immediately with a creeped-out feeling. Which is not to say it's bad at all! It feels very sinister, what with the colors darkening as the eye is drawn from the everyday, natural to [what I see as] the true, mechanical core. To me the lily pads are lies, beautiful fronts to the surface world, hiding something very alien in the deep water below!
Fantastic work!
