Hello! I'm from ProjectComment acting as a replacement for Comment Tag #6, Tagline 184. My word was "tears". I decided to pick this image after browsing because it seemed to have two tears in it.
The crying tears and the breaking tears.
Anyway, one thing I like is the dialogue. Nevertheless how cliché this goes, that you're always bored of a world or life, I always like it when they're saying it due to a prompt from someone else. Then break their heart, but one other thing I like is that you used a purple-ish colour for the shadows. That, I think it looks nice!
Anyway, since my word was tears, I guess let's go through that first!
The tears doesn't really look like tears, more like something dirty near their eyes? I suggest a more rounded shape than rectangular or flat. Also, try making it partially transparent and have a bit of lighting and shading on it.
I only found one tutorial that I liked , and it might be helpful because I find to be.
Next anatomy. The girl (Dee) seem to be very small and flat-chested. For even when she's turning more of her back than side to us, a bit of her chest/breasts should have been shown. Perhaps you avoided this due to trying to keep it safe and not expose any of those parts, but if not, I found a nice compilations of female body references . Unfortunately, I don't really do male anatomy so I can't say about it. Also, the lower arms of both the girl and boy are a bit small compared to their upper arm. I like how you placed fingernails, but the fingers themselves look stiff- some tips includes that you might want to leave a bit of gaps between fingers (not for all of them at the same time) to make it seem more relaxed and not "forced".
Lastly, shadows. The lighting is quite clear it's from behind Dee, but I don't think the shadows are really effective. Some shadows include like the ones on the bed from Dee's antlers, below the pillows and behind the boy's lower arm. In addition to the missing shadows, don't be afraid to use more than one shade for shadows- a bit darker on the bed than the body, etc. Also, try making "wrinkles" on the bed (through shading) and blanket to make it more "lively rather than stiff, for the bed looks more like a mat than a bed- if it is supposed to be one.
Overall, interesting piece, it does still have space for improvement.
