And here we see me being REALLY late on the fandom scene

So, okay, I started this pic way back before the 'Wanted' special event. Set directly in the aftermath of I Am My Mom, when a devastated Connie wanders aimlessly away from the remaining Crystal Gems on the beach, happens upon Greg, and has to break the news to him that Steven's been taken by Homeworld. Actually, it was based on a tumblr roleplay of that, between Gamerfeline and myself.

When I say started, however, I mean I only got a really rough sketch done, then put it to one side and proceeded to... not work on it anymore. I'm not even sure why, I didn't exactly forget it, I just... guess... I got preoccupied with other stuff. And then the Wanted event came and went, making it no longer immediately relevant to the current in-canon state of affairs. But all the same...

I wanted to finish it up. I've a number of unfinished / semi-finished art pieces, of which this was the first, that I decided it was time to clear up so I could move onto something new.

So I started working it properly a few days ago. Putting in proper lines, colouring, shading, etc. etc... and I'm pretty happy with the result. I can still see some parts that are far from perfect - Greg's hands stand out to me the most, because I literally forgot I still needed to work on them until I was much too far on in the process to go back to them WHOOPS - but on the whole?
