hmm....well....this is my first time going all out...with just pencils.....i am really out of my comfort zone without any water around me....but i am really happy with thisplus i got in a lot of shading practice....i hope you like it....and please check out my other work and leave your opinions

I think the sharpness of the lines adds a tangibility to the drawing. It seems quite harsh, but the subject itself appears rather gentle. It's a wonderful juxtaposition between subject and technique. The abstraction of it is really great as well.
Don't be afraid to go really dark with some of the shading and blend out from there. I think the darker shading will add a lot more depth to the photo and stop it from looking so two dimensional.Β

aww thank you so much......as for the meaning.... i don't know....i was just drawing and one thing came to another and i just ended up with this....i like to keep my art's meaning open for interpretation...so i just draw something,,,and i try to see what i would interpret as the meaning....so for this i like to think that it is a bout a man being haunted by the ghost of his lover that drowned....or something like that XD

welcome..lol well sometimes that happens you draw something that's awesome and either forget what it means or don't know exactly what the meaning is. it's good tht you keep it open for interpretation because everyone looks at things with different eyes
