Some people said that I needed to draw moar ponies.SO HERE YA GO. ouo
Played around with the background on this one, this time I tried to make semi-realistic sun rays. I think they look weird... meh >:I
If anyone has any tips on improving with the sun rays of the clouds or any of that sort of thing, please tell me! I'd love to hear it ^^
But for now, enjoy Rainy as a pony.

Hmm,tsk tsk.I really love the background in this picture.I LOVE the cutie mark also!The way you created the tail is really fascinating,I think you did a good job on the mane too.The smile is really cute,and the pose of rainy speaks to me.
The things that i am concerned about is the ears.I think you've could of dipped them with blue all the way like the real rainy.She has no,you know,i guess i would call it "Nose hole" either.
But anyways,I love the picture a lot!You have a lot of detail in this,and it's veary original.Good job on this picture all right!

Okay, this is REALLY late but, here I go:
I love the design! Even if you took Rainy's design and slapped it onto a pony I still like it. The cutie mark is also pretty neat! And I love the eyes and the scarf.
Okay, do there are some things you could improve on. The ears don't really look like pony ears, so I'd work on that a bit. The snout, it just looks like it's sort of sticking out to the right, and I don't really see the nose holes. The eyes on the cutie mark look a bit too spaced out; and the pencil isn't very straight looking. And shade with the light source oDo

okay so I just took a yellow brush and did what you did, lines. But, mine were blurry. I lowered the opacity and messed around with the layer settings until it looked good enough. Hope that helped!
The clouds are also very nice, but they need some more gray to give depth. The body's a tad bit long, and the wings aren't exactly in the right spot; they should be farther back and you need more feathers e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="
Last but not least, the hair. Well, I think you smudged the colors too much and you can't really see the color on the tail that's the same as the mane.

First critique, sorry if it's bad!
Positives: I love the colors of this picture and the smooth lineart. The legs, the hair, and the cutie mark are also very well done!
Negatives: Proportions. The body looks a little too long for a female pony, and the wings are in a strange position, leaving no room for them to close, really. Next time make the wings more fanned out and above her body more!
I would also like to see you try shading according to light source. It would look more realistic as if she really is flying.

Alright! This looks really great, but since you asked for background tips, I'll tell you what I can~
First off, the backgrounds look totally fine. However, that's if this were for chibi purposes only. If you wanted more of a realistic background, here's what I suggest~
I'm not sure if you use Sai or Photoshop, but if you lower the opacity settings on your brush, (to like, 20% ish) and brush multiple stokes in circular motions to build up a realistic work. Also, try to add more color to your clouds by putting some grey, orange, or purple when blending with your white stokes. It gives the clouds more depth c;
Oh, and you might want to consider using your gradient tool to add more depth to your sky~
Okay, for the sun rays, turn your opacity down, and use a softer brush to do some long strokes across your pony. (I would recommend using a light yellow or blend it with white/orange to give it more of a sunny effect)

I really don't have too much time to write a critique... but a little tip is to make sure that you know the exact point where your shading should go. Besides the streaks of light, I cannot tell where the light source is coming from.
