This is my entry for 's contest. Apparently John is a cat magnet, but it doesn't seem like he particularly enjoys that fact and Paul's right there to tease him about it. I found that drawing random cats are fun and that they all seem to look like sacks of flour with heads and tails attached except for Mr. Walrus O.G. Mustard. Jude Raccoon is put in the picture for good measure. I couldn't get Paul to look right and now he looks like a foreigner to me for some reason.Robo-Beatles, Jude Raccoon, and Mr. Walrus O.G. Your colouring has improved soooo much lately. I'm hella impressed. I've always loved how you take the time to do backgrounds in your work- I'm often so taken with the figure that I forget there are OTHER elements in a drawing, and you always get that down pat. Paul's face is SPOT on, and John's sulking pose? Fabulous.

Thank you! I think John's sulking pose was one of the funner things to draw and I suppose that I just second guess myself a lot so I'm always worried that things don't turn out right like Paul's face for example. I often try to work in backgrounds now since one of these days I'm going to do a comic. I just haven't figured out when that one day will be, but between now and then I'm hoping to get a lot of practice in.

I'm glad that you like it! I feel like a victim of catlove every morning when both of my cats have immobilized my legs from sleeping on top of them. It's like I love them but just not when they're crushing me. (Geeze, even our cats are obese in America.) Hehe, yeah I had fun drawing Jude. I don't draw too many little kids so it was good practice for me at the same time.

Paul actually looks really good. Much like Fwirl's originals. And I may not be a big cat person, but Mr. Walrus O.G. Mustard is by far the coolest cat ever... just because of the name. Teehee... sacks-of-flour-with-tails-and-heads kitties are love.
