Description It' s taken me a while to join up, but here finally is my pirate (complete with a bio) for The Anarchist Revolution RPG started by *ladydragona . I hope you like him! I do and my boyfriend says that my character reminds him of Wakka from Final Fantasy X.

Ishqueg was born and raised on the small tropical island, Melhe, just like his father before him and his father before him and so on and so forth. With a population of roughly two hundred and being isolated out in the middle of the ocean, the people of the island developed a very tight community. Everyone knew everyone and no one had anything to be ashamed of since the Melhe people were very accepting of pretty much everything. Life on the island functioned rather traditionally with the women taking care of the home and children, and the men taking to the seas to fish.

It was a very peaceful way of life until Melhe was raided by a gang of pirates running on a rumor that there was buried treasure somewhere on the island. After learning that there was no treasure they completely devastated the village burning it to the ground and leaving mere ashes in their wake. The men of Melhe returned too late to defend their friends and families. Not a single person was left alive. The destruction on the island was so great that the men had no way of rebuilding the community and with no women there was no way to repopulate, so they voted that the best thing to do was to seek out new lives elsewhere. Ishqueg decided that he would join the next ship he came across so he could still feel somewhat at home on the sea and hopefully find the bastard ship that murdered his people. He was able to catch a glimpse of the ship as it left, but being unable to read English he doesn’t know the name of the vessel. He does however know what the flag looks like: all red with a skull and crossbones and an arm holding a sword.

The very next day the Good Ship Revolution pulled into shore apparently following the same rumor of buried treasure and Ishqueg joined up. There were some communication issues at first seeing how Ishqueg couldn’t speak one word of English, but a demonstration of his skills at sea earned him a place in the crew. Also because of the language barrier he is sometimes thought to be stupid among the crew and thus taken advantage of. But after spending some time with the more learned crewmembers Ishqueg was taught to understand most English and later those crewmembers who took advantage of him woke up one morning with all of their hair missing with a friendly note saying, “Free haircut. Love, Ishqueg.” His spoken English is broken and said with a heavy Hawaiian sounding accent.

Ishqueg isn’t a very malicious person, he just believes in getting even and is a surprisingly jovial person for his tragic past. He loves to sing his native songs while working and will share his people’s lore for those who want to hear it. Ishqueg also enjoys a good joke, talking a lot (those who taught him English are sorry now), fishing, and asking questions about pretty much everything. He doesn’t really know anything about “civilized” culture and will take every opportunity to learn more. This can sometimes be annoying and when people tell him that he will just ask, “Why?”

Ishqueg has picked up some things from the Western cultures that he likes, i.e tattoos and swimming trunks. Over his right breast he has a compass with his wife’s name, Mar, in the middle of it. It was originally supposed to be over his heart but not having extensive knowledge of human anatomy it ended up where it is now.

It has become a routine for Ishqueg to ask the lookout each day with a smile, “Still no sign of the ship with red flag? Okay, but you let me know so I slit their throats when you do.” Ishqueg has developed quite a deep bond with the crew viewing them as his second family and if he fights with anyone it’s like a tiff between siblings for him. He is fiercely loyal to his captain and will do anything that someone asks him to even if he knows that they could just be telling him to do it to get him in trouble.

His tattoos are pretty awesome. The octopus one is a neat idea. The laughing pose is neat-o.
He's rather cute.
