Description

It only took an instant as his curious steps pulled him closer and closer to the beckoning pumpkin's portal. And then... he was gone. Things grew hazy. In another world, he moved as if in a dream. This new form was lithe, graceful, powerful and bizarre. His heart was filled with light that spilled out in an unending wave of brilliant song that trailed behind him, and his feet bounded across the misty forest. It was so dull, so drab... he wouldn't stand for it. He charged headlong into the mists to fill it with roaring sound.

Faster flew his song, more joyous, more free than he had ever known. Head thrown back he laughed, he sang, he spoke in languages he never knew he could weave together. At first, there was only darkness... but as he ran, leapt and screamed his song into the dull glade, colour began to form beneath his footfalls. Stunning blue flowers blossomed in his wake, tiny wisps of mana rising from the vibrant grass he crossed. Perhaps the colours and flowers were his own hallucinations running wild... but it's hard to say for sure. There was no way of knowing how long it had been since he entered this strange and haunting realm.
Yet no matter how far he ran, even in the wake of his colour, the mist remained.

In the midst of his incredible sprint, a softer voice called to him. The peculiar blue creature perched atop a broken log, and asked him to stay awhile so that it might listen, and delight in this exciting display of song.

And so he did.
