Description Here’s what happened when Azurai was in the middle of saying “Checkmate” (idea by patron Crackalacking).

I think Tsavo looks like he could use a vacation and a very strong drink at this point...

If I were Tsavo, about to be beaten in a strategy game against an idiot who never thinks ahead, I'd probably do the exact same thing.

I didn't take Azurai for the chess-playing type.

A lack of smarts is not a lack of strategy.
A lack of strategy is not a lack of know-how.
And a lack of Know-how is not a lack of smarts. (if you want to use that line, go ahead and take it. XD)

A lack in one subject is an abundance in another, and just because you know something doesn't mean you know how to apply it.
Case in point: Every Dumbass has a specialty. XD

Checkmate with a pawn, wow... Azurai must be good at chess... Or else Tsavo is just bad lol

There are a couple of different ways moving a pawn can lead to checkmate. One is a discovered attack, where moving the pawn clears the way for one of your other, more powerful, pieces to reach the king. Another is to have the pawn move in position to take the king while protected by another piece; if the king were to take the pawn, it would be taken in turn. Naturally, both require you to also cut off other avenues of escape.

I know that one of the Battle Chess games would give the kill to whichever piece moved last; it was possible to arrange discovered checkmate by moving your king, thus giving a king vs. king fight at the end.

That makes sense. Guess I just haven't played enough chess to see it happen

Yeah, you should probably do that then Tsavo... And then give up on Chess. XD
