I can't believe someone would actually poll something as serious as that FOR REALS. I dunno, I mean, it'd be interesting to put up some polls about how people would feel about certain things, but it shouldn't change what you've got planned. :c That's silly. Plot is one of the two most important components to a story for me. Something so major should not be so easily influenced by the outside forces.
Also, I LIKE Cliff. Just cause he's a GROUCHYPANTS doesn't mean he should be killed off. I'd be sad if a majority of people really didn't like him. D: I look forward to learning more about him!

Story gets reworked where Buwaro learns magic instead from Giant Boy Detective to save Princess Tinglepants from the evil Insect King so he can get his luckdragon and ride into the sunset OH BOY.

Pandering to the base... Well how often you do it depends on how much the author depends on the Fanbase for ego boosts. I can't see doing this my self either, I may be a wannabe writer/allkindsofotherstuff but yeah...

Allow me to be more clear. A comic I read did a poll like this, and I found it stupid, disgusting, and pandering. It's totally uncreative and it was a dumb gimmick to get more votes in a poll. I would never do anything like that over something as serious as a main character's DEATH. I don't need anyone else to tell me how to write my comic.
Besides, people would probably vote to kill Cliff because they don't like him because they don't understand him.
