Even else was doing it, so why not draw the starter Pokemon for Black and White? Personally, I like the fire pig the best. I think he's a lot cuter than Cyndaquil, even. The grass "snake" has grown on me, and I'm dying to see what he evolves into. I gotta say I don't care for the otter at all.Pokemon (c) Nintendo and The Pokemon Company

I think it's cuz it's believed snakes used to have legs once and some snake skeletons have the indication of legs. There's also a snake like creature that has front claws. So maybe that's why Tsutaja has paws, maybe when it evolves it looses them.

That pig looks like Ryoga from Ranma 1/2. I guess that's why I really like it.. The otter can be cute just because I like the otter jokes in Otters11 from Bakuman. Curious about how the pokemon anime is going to handle Black and White.

I agree, the otter is absolutely terrible, but the pig isn't half bad... I don't mind the grass type, but he's not great... Nicely drawn by the way...

For reasons unknown, everyone i know seems t6o deeply hate Mijumaru's design. Ok, I'll admit that it does look rather goofy and kinda unoriginal, but what is it about the little water otter that makes us all dislike it so much?

I think the pokemon company is running out of ideas. The grass type reminds me of treeko, and the fire type reminds me of spoink and its evolved form. They both, however, DO look reayly cool; and yeah the otter looks really lame.

Any other starter, you mean? But I disagree, I never liked Cyndaquil's snout, feet, or lack of ears. One of my least favorite starter designs, to be honest. I do like its evolutions a lot, though. To each his or her own.

I'm actually pumped to see what the water starter evolves into. Maybe they're trying to make it look stupid and then it evolves into something awesome. Maybe?

It's a possibility. After all, I still don't care much for Turtwig and I think Piplup is a weak attempt to emulate Torchic, but damn if Torterra and Empoleon aren't awesome-looking.
