Neat way to crop. It would have been nice to have more fo the legs in sharper focus, but other than that, the colors, lighting, content - marvelous.

I love this! It's a view that I know I would probably not go for first; I think many of us get so preoccupied in trying to find something going on uptop more than anything else!

DOF is spot on

I give this, two thumbs up.
I have a thing for feet. Not a fetish mind you.
But some wierd fascination.
It's fun to only have the lower half of someone, and then try to figure out what they are, or who they are.

But this is an awesome picture. I like how the focus is to one side and not centered, and the flow of the stone curvy...step? thing... yeah.

no problem. I only wish that I coudl take pictures as well as that. Mine always end up kinda fuzzy... then again i also usually use a disposable camera. ^.^ and my digital camera i guess is better suited for just casual snap shot photos... or maybe i just suck, that of course could be the real problem and not the camera at all. XD

I command you.
Keep up the good work.

I like this. It has a comfortable feel to it, like a friendly company of birds sitting on the telephone wires, same feeling. I imagine a background murmer of voices just audible over the traffic sounds.

jonana [2005-09-29 08:21:43 +0000 UTC]

Nice shot with interesting structure.

For me though, there are 2 things I would reconsider:
1. The person in the background is very competitive to the subject as a big white spot that catches the eye and disturbs following the smooth line of feet.
2. The silver wrapping of sandwithches (or whatever they are) blinks and disturbs the composition in the similar way as the person in white. Especially the first silver piece from the right, still in focus but only the part of it (and a very unimportant one) is visible. I would call it a kind of a dirt, that should be cleaned out in following captures.

Overall I like the picture, especially the angle and perspective. You created very intimate world with so modest subject.

I wouldn't dare to comment your picture like this if you didn't encourage critique-heavy comments
Take care.

i do appreicate your time and effort for you comment.
i believe the person the background add to the depth of the picture.
i'm confused on the number 2
number 3 .. i tend to not do any post work to my photographs. only because i feel it looses to much of the film aspect of it. when doing prints you are limited on what you can do to make the photograph better. so ja, i am only old fashion hehe

I can take any comment from anyone that is a critque. I like to see what others do and know what I could do better to improve my skills. I try to do all I can when taking the phtograph so I wouldn't have to even think of doing anything to the post work. This one is one that I'm very pleased with it, it came out excatly how I wanted it to. Another happy experince for me by using film.

thank you again for your comment!

jonana In reply to rakastajatar [2005-09-29 14:37:36 +0000 UTC]

As far as number 2 is concerned I meant you should have spent more time and let yourself take another shot after a while to make the composition cleaner, to make it contain only the essential elements. Never said anything about postprocessing. I wouln't dare

And for the 'white person' it's true it gives the feeling of depth, but I would wait a while for another, less absorbing person to appear.

Photography is an art of waiting and patience...

ah ok
ja, i did take another one after this one. i included the people's faces . .but i enjoyed this one more.. i suppose i could crop . .but nah.

that is true tho, I need to remember when doing shots like these to take two in row. excatly the same. one could always come out better for whatever reason.

thanks for clearning that up!
