Any comments discussing for the 27th time if leopards in the TLKverse live or not in the Pridelands etc will be hidden.

I really liked Makucha from TLG's episode "The Imaginary Okapi", being also the first official leopard in the Lion King franchise, if I am not mistaken.
It bothers me that for some unexplained reason it seems that leopards as a whole aren't allowed to live in the Pridelands while cheetahs do, but well...
Anyway, I love this guy and I might do more fanart of him in the future, he's so fun to draw! And for once I am glad that Disney simplified his design so much xD
Edit: It seems there will be another leopard named Badili in the upcoming episode!!! *o*
Edit 2: It has been confirmed that leopards live in a territory called the "Backlands" which is a different land from the Pridelands.

Another possible theory I have is that there may still be Prideland leopards around, but since leopards are known for being hard to spot as well as being anti-social, the other animals don't notice the leopards.

Yes, that could be a possibility, however, let's imagine there are indeed leopards native to the Pridelands. Wouldn't it be a bit weird that the herd of zebras from TLG didn't freak out when they saw Makucha? They didn't even recognized him as a predator, and if there were leopards native to the Pridelands, they would for sure hunt animals from the Pridelands...

While leopards are not picky about what they eat, realistically leopards usually won't bother healthy adult zebras since they are too big for them to successfully catch. They will however, go after zebra foals and injured zebras if given the chance. But their main preys are usually consists of deers, bushbucks, antelopes, gazelles, fish, and birds.

Well there used to be leopards in the Pridelands. There was a leopard who appeared during Simba's presentation in the 1st movie and there was also a leopard who danced along in the song, 'Just can't wait to be king'. I suppose one can assume that the Prideland leopards left during Scar's reign. 
I still find it very ironic that leopards aren't native in the Pridelands in TLG considering that the freakin' chorus from both of the movie's openings chant "A lion and a leopard come to this place" in Zulu.
But yeah, Makucha and Badili are cool characters. (Even though I was expecting a female leopard to appear in the show) .

Yes, but the in movie during 'The Circle of Life' it was sped up and the leopard appeared in between the wildebeest and the zebra. See if you can find the leopard in 1:36. I was told that the cat was a leopard anyways. www.youtube.com/watch?v=GibiNy…

I might be wrong, but from what I understood, neither Badili nor Mapigano live in the Pridelands?
Kion and Ono stated in "An Imaginary Okapi" that no leopards live in the Pridelands and the episode "The Trouble with Galagos" precisely deals with the consequences of Badili leaving his natural habitat in the Mihiri Forest and entering the Pridelands, scaring away the Galagos.

Is not that leopards aren't allowed: It's that Makucha was a foreign carnivore, so he has no right to stay and hunt in the Pridelands

Posiblemente esa sea la respuesta más evidente, es solo que me resulta curioso cómo siempre han aparecido guepardos en TLK ya desde la primera película pero nunca leopardos, a pesar de que las tres especies suelemn vivir en las mismas áreas... Pero bueno, tampoco es que TLG esté siendo demasiado consistente a la hora de tratar las relaciones entre depredadores y presas xD

I believe the reason leopards aren't allowed in the pride lands is to do with this phrase "Leopards say hello with their teeth"
which would indicate that they are hostile towards others.

But... technically all predators are hostile towards each others (even those from the same species) since they all "compete" (probably in TLG the would use some friendly term like "share") for the same amount of prey. I also thought the biggest issue concerning hunting in the Pridelands was to respect the Circle of Life, but Makucha, although a "villain", doesn't seem like the kind of guy that wouldn't care about the Circle of Life....
And then in the episode "The Trouble with Galagos" you have Badili, which is a nice, gentle leopard...
I think I might be trying too hard to understand something that has no importance on a pre-schoolers show xD They just needed a fierce leopard as the villain of the week xD
