I have to be honest, I've only ever seen just a few episodes, so I'm going to take your word for it.
I always tell myself I'm going to simplify a design this complex for a comic, and then I get all hung-up about details. I then over-work everything - the head I've had experience with, and the pedes I roughed out since I ran out of paper room. That's why I think they came out best. Thanks for the compliment!

And a while ago I saw someone review Prime in general and called this Ratchet a fusion of Bones from 2009 Star Trek, G1 Ratchet and House.
Though this is DEFINITELY the 1st image I've seen of House Ratchet...and it suits him very well.

I drew Ratchet as if he was Dr. Gregory House. House is known for saying "It's never Lupus". Since Lupus is an autoimmune disorder but is known for it's alteration of blood contents, I decided "lubricants" would be a good analogy (Lubricus").
Vicodine is a narcotic painkiller House takes, so I called it V-code-N.
I've never watched much House myself, but I the analogy was still there so...
