"I never know what youβre thinking, Turlough. Thatβs what makes you such an interesting traveling companion."Doodle I did last night and felt like putting some colour to; my favourite Doctor and my favourite companion.
Turlough deserves more love than he gets, I think. He's such a great character, so wonderfully complex and full of fascinating back story. I say bring back alien companions once in a while, they're more interesting. Plus Turlough gets himself locked up in chains a lot and parades around in a schoolboy uniform (or REALLY SHORT SHORTS/a speedo). And really cute stripey socks. That's a winner of a companion right there if I ever knew one.
Not entirely sure what they're looking at. Pretend there's something really awesome off in the distance.
Tried out a new colouring style for this. The way I see it is I colour things all scribbley and sketchy on paper, why not do it in Photoshop? By the way, can I just say that I really hate to colour Five's trousers? Annoying little stripes. But they just make his outfit such fun to look at.
(By the way I really love this even though any shipping at all in Classic!Who feels plain weird, if not wrong. BUT OH do I love it.)

I really like your style, and I have to agree with you entirely. Turlough was a companion who took a different direction from other companions, and it was what made him stand out more. And I also have to agree that he was one of the attractive winners, oh yes...
And just because it'll kill me if I don't say it, you did the pinstripes on the Doctor's pants very, very well!! I keep looking at them impressively!

THought I'd pop in and mention in passing that I really find your style unique and refreshing. 
Also, I'd like to say that you are DEAD on. Turlough does not get far enough love. He makes a much more interesting companion then some they have chucked in, and lets be honest: humans get boring. Plus, humans= no red heads. Lame in my books. I may be going a little off by saying this, but I believe Russell T. Davies was on to something with New!Who when he began scripting in the Tenth's Ginger Craving. Though, it DID all start with a certain Red-headed Trion "coincidentally" dropping perfectly into the Doctor's waiting lap

Gosh, thanks so much for all your comments! It's awesome to meet a fellow Turlough fan - you just don't see enough of us. I can't imagine why, though. He's incredibly wonderful and oh what I wouldn't give to see him make a cameo in New!Who canon.

Well they got Sarah Jane back and gave her her own show! And then Jo Grant made her little cameo on that. Strickson is doing nature documentaries now, right? That's still TV so it's not like he's doing something completely unrelated, I'm sure he'd be able to pop back in for a Turlough cameo!

Love this. Five/Turlough are one of my OTPs (as you said, it basically writes itself).
I think Turlough's annoying him because he's being condescending again (you'd think a 500+ year old Time Lord would realize he was dealing with another alien (and one who'd apparently fought in a war, at that) and NOT the English school boy he was pretending to be!
