Another spectacular work of art, I wouldn't have the patience to make something as detailed as this. These looks so authentic I'd swear they were pictures taken from satellites or ground-based telescopes. The colors in this are very vibrant; keep up the awesome work (yet again)!

I am astonished.. such detail and excellent use of colours.. it's great.
You've used the stars and planets to your advantage.. they add those little details that make the whole more impressive, while not overpowering everything into a chaos.
The way you made the nebulae is great.. there is a great sense of depth .. it's almost like you look into the nebulae. The way you let the colours taper off into the nebulae really help with this impression. The way you made the black part go in front of the rest of the nebulae also adds to that. It creates a whole new plane in this image. However the planets in front of it seem to be lighted from the nebulae. If you hold a pencil in front of burning lightbulb, you'll see that the shadow gets larger the further away you go. So i don't think these planets should have any lighting at all.
The lightbeams are great.. they give a sense of how much energy that nebulae has. Also it gives some nice effects on the planets and nebulae-parts in the surrounding areas. It really makes everything seem like a whole. It all fits together and is influenced by each other. But when you look at some of your planets that are affected by the beams, you don't have a shadow behind them. They block the light from travelling further, however i don't see that with all your planets.
The colours you used is great: Blue-orange combination are always a favourite of mine. Now you added red to it and it's very succesful. Although they are really only bits of colour on the outerrim of the nebulae, it's this excellent use which creates the depth and the beauty of this image.
I have been nitpicking a bit, but overall this is one splendid image. It's absolutely great.

Woooo...Craig...What an amazing piece!!! I see the stars in the backdrop..so peaceful and unaware of the action taking place before them. The explosion of power and light you've created is very moving...The techniques you've used, are totally beyond my sphere of reference...but let me say, that whether I understand how you did it or not, doesn't change the impact they've had on me. The blast of colour errupting from the intrusion of the "fireball" is powerful, not to mention beautiful..and I truly appreciate the hours of planning and wonderful work you put into this one...Wonderful work!!!

Please take a look at position 860x,720y (pixel coordinates), you made a mistake with this planet there I think.

yipes... this is absolutely breathtaking. at first, when i noticed you left a comment on my space piece, i was just sort of like, thats a nice comment. now that i've seen your gallery, im just sort of like, thats a wonderful compliment. thanks for that
my favorite part of this is where the blue transitions into the black/magenta cloud. the cloud texture in 3rd dimension caught my eye at once and is one of the most amazing things done with that type of texture i have ever seen. if you made this in photoshop, you are a god among men (you're still a god among men if you didn't make it in photoshop too ), but i would like to know what program(s) were involved in the creation of this. i would have to saw the thing i like the least in this is the ray of light protruding from the top of the nebulae and shining on the planet. personally, i think it distracts from the nebula. im not too keen on the planets in front of the wispy orange nebula up top (the one that sorta looks like a sideways norway. hehe). one thing i think would be interesting is if you could incorporate the text above into the scene, rather than just white text on top of a picture. maybe it would distract from it, i don't know, but the white seems to distract too. i would also like to know, other than what program(s) you used, if this is the original size. if you have a larger one, i would be delighted to see it. overall, i give a 9.5 out of 10.
anything 9 or above get's a fav... i so just made that up. ah well... good theory to live by
