And Ran is very attractive to shrunken teens, teens, adults and maybe pets, too. What's so fascinating about her? I mean, everyone falls for her at first sight! But she ISN'T that hot! Poor Sonoko, she's the one with fair hair and nobody pays attention to her. ^^U

Oh, you know it's the fate of all main female characters, right... everyone loves them. The most glaring example I can think of right now is Kagome from Inuyasha. >_>
The problem with Sonoko is that she's too desperate. xDDD And she DOES have a karate... judo... aikido... whatever-master at her feet :3 (I bet Makoto would scare other guys off.)

I read till volume 29 of Inuyasha. AND YES, EVERYONE LOVES KAGOME. And Sango is way more interesting. And pretty. (And angsty XD)
But when she wasn't dating Makoto (...or whatever they're doing, are they dating or do they plan to go on like "I like you but I'm not telling you even if it's OBVIOUSLY OBVIOUS" forever?) she was a good catch. She's rich, not too annoying, she would look better without that hairband but she's ok, and she's... uhm... quite easy. I have till volume 59 (!), Brazillian-version, which would be, like, volume 30 if it were tankoubon-sized. Dumb JBC published it in half doses for YEARS and I gave up on completing it. >_<;
