EDIT: Difficulty LVL: Easy (This is one of the more easy stencils to use and I've had many people tell me the carved their Sonic pumpkin with little problem.)Okay so for the last three years or so I've made it a habit to put a Sonic Character on my Halloween Pumpkin. Well this here was the first and so it's three years old now. Still good though. And I even have a picture in the corner there that shows what the finished product should look like

Peel means you just scrape off the pumpkin's skin layer and expose the pulp under it. Cut Through means you slice all the way through the pumpkin. My tutorial on stencils can be found hereΒ rally-the-cheetah.deviantart.cβ¦

Well it depends on how you're coloring it but the photo in the corner is how the finished product looks. If you're doing something like a night time image then maybe this photo here can helpΒ rally-the-cheetah.deviantart.cβ¦ . It's of Metal Sonic but you can see that the peeled parts are orange in color and the part that are cut all the way through are yellowish in color,Β

can't wait to use this for my pumpkin tonight, I bought carving tools this time so it should be a lot easier than last time since I used Shadow, it still came out pretty cool, but i have a feeling this one will be better.

What do you use to shave away the Lantern without cutting all the way through it?

I use and X-acto for the initial cuts then use wood cutting tools for the scraping out the pumpkin flesh. Usually the X-acto blade isn't long enough to go all the way through so it's good to use for cutting out the peeling sections.

Your Jack-O-Lantern stencils are awesome! I used the Sonic and Tails ones last year, before I joined, and I plan on using them again this year!
...I moved somewhere where I have no idea where to celebrate Halloween. I have an excuse to use them twice. Sorta.

This looks cool. This year I wanna carve out a stencil in the shape if Sonic's logo, but my drawing with that isn't so well. I might use this!

Hmm that might be tricky since their pupils are centered in their eyes. Can't make the eyes cut though or the pupils will be floating. Hmm I'd have to tinker with it.
