The Tsar kept you close, and you worked hard.
The Tsarina wanted to get to know you, better than her own home country.
And their kids- oh, goodness - their kids! They would steal you away whenever they had the chance.
The Grand Duchesses cherished the necklaces you gave them, they never took them off!
And Alexei, the baby, your future boss. He was such a brat, wasn't he? But you would help him, and would smile at him kindly.
You loved them, right? They really loved you.

Anyway, I'm one of those APH fans that believes Russia(Ivan) really loved the Romanov family and snapped/went crazy when they were killed.
Hmm.. and besides messing up on the coloring and lines, the girls are supposed to be pretty young and... are supposed to be much shorter than Ivan? I'm guessing. xD;
This was done on paper and colored on the computer.
Russia/Ivan is from Axis Powers Hetalia.

It's my headcanon as well that he didn't sanction or take part in the Romanov massacre. Β I like to believe that if he had gotten wind of the plan, he would have advocated for the lives of the children.

Ah, I meant to say fan-fiction, sorry. I don't know why I said fan-art. Yes, sadly every fan-fiction I've read involving Ivan and the Romanovs always depicts him as being a part of their murder. I don't like that! Lol. And most fan-art I've seen mentions it or is about it, but doesn't show the actual murder. Sick isn't it?

Sad it is indeed. I'm one for the opinion he might not have been there when it happened. Or for all we know he could have tried to save them. I'm sure it's a part of Russian history that will never be covered in Hetalia so it anyone's guess really. It's for the fact he's such a cruel and insane character that I like the idea of him being fond of the children and wanting to protect them I guess. I don't know. Lol. Russia isn't all bad after all.
