Description Just realized that I never posted my BNHA self insert here, even though it's one of the fandoms I talk about more than others these days o: tbh I haven't been doing much drawing and likely won't be updating this reference any time soon, so this is the best I can do for now. Still, my friend does say this is one of her favorite character references of mine, so that's gotta account for something -///-;; skjdf

anyway here's some stuff about her, I tried to condense it a bit (keyword: tried. trust, the bio I have written elsewhere is miles longer lol)

Name: Sierra Niall
Nickname: Cici
Hero name (?): Snowflake
Quirk: Winter Warping
Occupation: Guidance counselor/school psychologist for UA
Age: 23
Birthday: February 13
Zodiac: Aquarius
Height: 5'1"
Likes: marshmallows, lavender (the color, flower, and the scent), ribbons (especially red ones)
Dislikes: spicy food, thunderstorms, bees

Cici's quirk allows her to manipulate various aspects of winter, including ice, snow, and the temperature of the surrounding area. She mostly uses her quirk for defensive/protective purposes; she can use it to attack, but she tries her best not to resort to force. Some things she can do include:
❄️ Encasing herself in ice for protection, but it renders her immobile until the ice is broken by someone, or by herself
❄️ Snow healing - using snow to help soothe and repair minor/moderate open wounds, but she can't heal broken bones, internal injuries, or other serious damage
    ❄️ Cloaking herself in blizzards
❄️ Coating her arms or legs in ice to reinforce her punches or kicks
❄️ Creating cushions of snow to break falls
❄️ Crumbling solid ice into snow, and reforming snow into solid ice
Like other typical ice-quirk users, she is extremely vulnerable to heat. The hotter it is, the sleepier and more drained she becomes, and the more brittle her ice gets. Areas that are hot enough can make her pass out pretty much immediately and leave her completely open. She also can't use her own quirk to keep herself from overheating. In addition, overuse of her quirk can cause her to frost over and risk hypothermia and frostbite.
The strength of her abilities is also tied to her emotional state (yes, I know it's cliche, but honestly I don't really care and I actually really like this trope lol). A passionate, determined, excited, or furious emotional state can make her ice nearly unbreakable and her healing abilities much more effective; a desolate, hopeless, hurt or terrified emotional state will make her ice very brittle and her healing almost useless.

❄️ Background ❄️

Cici is easily described as generous, caring, timid and empathetic, if rather naive. She's happiest when helping others and keeping her friends happy, but she can easily forget about her own needs in the process. She also struggles with severe anxiety, insecurity, and a fear of failure, all things that she often feels get in the way of being a more productive person and helping others like she wants. At the beginning of her high school years, she attempts to combat her fears by enrolling in UA's hero course, hoping that she'll be able to push herself past her comfort zone, raise her confidence and conquer her insecurities.

During her time at UA, she meets and befriends Aizawa. He admires her goal of pushing herself to be better despite the inner struggles she faces, and because of her gentle disposition, he gives her the teasing, affectionate nickname of "Snowflake." Likewise, Cici is inspired by his diligence when it comes to training, and likes how he can be both blunt and understanding, depending on what the situation calls for. The two become fast friends, much to the surprise of their classmates (Hizashi's just happy that Aizawa is socializing more jdfhg). Unfortunately, Cici's fears and insecurities catch up and get the better of her. Not even a year in, she drops out and finishes her education at a normal public school, overwhelmed by the dedication required to become a hero that she's convinced she doesn't possess. She is so ashamed of disappointing Aizawa's expectations of her that she can't even bring herself to keep in contact with him afterwards.

After a number of years, she ends up living with her best friend Alia, who graduated UA's hero course and has steady work as a Pro Hero. Cici still doesn't feel cut out to do real hero work herself, but she's more than happy to help her friend when she can get away with it. She gives herself an unofficial hero name, too - the one her old friend gave her all those years ago - Snowflake.

Later, Alia learns of a reunion being held at UA. Having also had an old flame there, she encourages Cici to come with her. There, Cici meets Aizawa again, who is concerned about what had happened back then and curious to know where she'd been all this time. Embarrassed, she comes clean about dropping out, and is surprised when Aizawa isn't upset with her - in fact, he always thought that she had the potential to be a strong and helpful person, even if she went in a different direction than Pro Hero work, and is only disappointed that she didn't realize it sooner. Though still uncertain, she's flattered to know he thinks so highly of her, and they easily reconnect again - this time, blossoming into a romantic relationship.

These days, Cici still isn't confident enough in her abilities to become a Pro Hero, but she takes Aizawa's words to heart and finds a happy middle ground where she can continue to help others - a job offering counsel and support to the young students of UA. Her gentle and empathetic personality makes her incredibly easy to confide in, and those that see her for whatever trouble ail them walk out much happier than they came in... which is all she wanted in the first place.

I have way more stuff I can go into detail about but I've already made you read enough of my trash kjdfh
